Description from Strava:
I wore myself out a bit at the weekend. I did about 30k steps on Saturday and had a band rehearsal on Sunday. I am still catching up on sleep, but did not sleep great last night. Despite all that I wanted to run today.
This was another 'easy' run where I aim to keep my heart rate in zone 2 (under 140bpm for me). That went okay for the first half, but it went up later on. I kept a fairly steady, but slow pace all the way. That can still be tiring. I am looking to see what effect that has over the next couple of months. I can test it with parkrun and my interval runs.
I saw quite a few other runners. The local half marathon was on Sunday, but I did not enter this time. I would like to do it again if I can build up to that distance. I did it a few times and it was hard work.
I should be back at the local parkrun this week and will see how that goes. The weather continues to be mixed with the odd bit of rain. It is staying cool and that suits me for running, but it would be nice if it could warm up later in the day.
I will continue with other exercises I do at home to build some strength. That is all body weight stuff as we do not have much exercise equipment.
Stay well and run free.

My wife and I had a rough weekend too. I spent a lot of time on Friday night working on our trailer and then we both worked on it Saturday morning. By the end of the day Sunday we were both trying to figure out why we were so sore!
I'm finding recovery takes longer these days and need to pace myself accordingly. It's not too bad really, but I have to take it into account.
It will be for an other time for the marathon
running is healthy for all body parts, but when I last time run I don't have remember.
It's my main exercise to stay healthy and allow me to eat chocolate :)
Still, childish habits.😁
None of us lives forever so we have to enjoy life.
yeh, it's true. we should enjoy every moment of life.
I think that monitoring your heart rate and pacing yourself could benefit in the long run.
That is why I'm doing it :)
