steevc just finished a 6.07km run, that lasted for 39 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 460.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
I was out last night for a meal at a new Indian restaurant and then had a fun jam over at Ickleford. So it was a late night with a couple of beers, but I was keen to get out for a run this morning.

The weather was kind to me again. I was trying to get a picture of the very red sky, but my phone camera was messing with it a bit. There is some resurfacing of the main road through Arlesey going on with lots of big machines. Watch out for closures if you come that way.

I did my usual workout of 'sprinting' up the drive to Fairfield. It was feeling a little easier today and I was very happy with my pace. I was easily under 5min/km each time. That is about as fast as I go, but others would be much quicker. It is a good workout for me. It took it very easy on the way back down the hill with some walking to recover.

There were quite a few people out running, walking (some with dogs) and cycling. That route is well used. Just have to watch out for the odd car going to the stables or the old house up there.

I took a long route home to stretch it out to 6km, but this was more about the sprints than the distance.

I am keeping an eye on the parkrun roster to see if they need me, but I would like to run. I have a couple of friends interested in taking part. Getting more regular participants would help make it more viable.

Run free and stay well.

Nice work on your run. I got up to workout this morning but then I went back to bed. I couldn't do it. At a conference so I am kind of on vacation.

When I lived in the city the constant road construction was tiring. I get that they are improving roads and public services. But for 3 years? Same road?! Not sure about the bureaucracy of public works, but it seems less than efficient.

I'd hope this doesn't go on too long as it's the only road through the village. If it's shut then it's a long way around. The local council have to maintain a lot of roads and it looks like it's time for this one.

You can still manage Indian food and sleep? Lucky you.. I had to give it up about a year ago. Love the food, my body disagrees.

Well I'm not you :) It's more the beer that gets me up in the night. I don't like my food too spicy. They ought to have a heat rating on each curry as some are pretty strong.

The beer, try John Smiths.., I can drink that at night and it's fine. Lager is for young dudes!

I had a Cobra with the curry and a bitter shandy at the pub. I really can't drink a lot these days. Not that bothered about it anyway.

We each have our own pace. The hard bit is just getting out there to run.

Definitely agree; for me ist always a race against myself. When I said I hope I can do the same tomorrow, I meant getting out early for a run after a late night out! !LOL
