steevc just finished a 15.44km run, that lasted for 92 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 1098.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
I was out last night celebrating the birthday of @todayslight (fellow Hiver). Some pics here. We were back at the White Horse in Arlesey, which is where I started the music sessions some years ago. I had a beer and a couple of whiskies. I wanted to be able to run this morning.

It is still relatively warm and just right for running. I started, as usual, by running up to Fairfield. The road through Arlesey was quiet as the roadworks mean people cannot get through.

It was feeling like hard work today, but I think parkrun takes a lot out of me. I just need to fit in runs where I can. From Fairfield I headed out the other side and onto the Greenway around Standalone Farm. They are having some construction work in the car park at the entrance.

From there it is an uphill slog through Letchworth. There are so many interesting houses there such as this pink one that looks very solid.

I followed some of the Standalone 10k course out through Norton, but went back onto the Greenway at Radwell Meadows. I prefer to keep away from roads when I can. I had to get past a couple of horses there. Plenty of people out walking and a few runners.

I was feeling like I had had enough, but still had to get home. I just had to keep going. I was ready for my breakfast when I got back.

I was reading about this race in Northern Ireland where 131 men ran 5k in under 15 minutes. I would have been lapped by everyone running there. I doubt I will ever be that quick, but I still hope for improvements.

Run free!

I have become your fan, You are truly a amazing, Who could run 15 KM with out stopping? To be very honest you should take part in that race happening in Northern Ireland.

Lots of people do this and much more. I know people who run twice as much each week easily. I would not qualify for that race. They are probably all about 30 years younger than me and it would be embarrassing. There is no need to try and flatter me.

5k in 15mins. That is really fast.
Slow and steady.

There's a big difference between serious athletes and joggers like me.

I know a few people that use this Strava app. I'll try pitching Hive to a few of them and see if they're interested. Whatever happened to Actifit? Haven't seen that much around lately.

The weather has been quite nice in the past couple of days.. quite a relief from the cold snaps :)

Actifit is still going and I know plenty of people who use it. Strava is more for those wanting to monitor their performance and the dapp makes it convenient to make posts.

The way we see it, going to the running every day and gradually increasing your time is much better for your health. I am also trying to follow this strategy.

I'm so jealous, burning so many calories. My hubby just headed out for a run...just not a runner myself, more of a rambler. I do wish I could get into it tho, maybe someday.

It took me a while to get to this level after avoiding running for most of my life. Now I quite enjoy it. I need to get outside for a while as I'm mostly indoors.
