Description from Strava:
It seems this is my 555th activity on Strava, which I started using in early 2020. I aim for 3 or 4 each week. I could get more if I logged more walking, but I tend not to do that. Today I was just out for a gentle run as my legs are still recovering from the weekend. My pace was nearly 5:55, which would have lined up nicely.

I started by going around my block, which does mean an uphill slog at first. It is a bit quieter around there than on the main road and I can check on what has been going on there. Some pavements were closed due to some sort of maintenance.

Then it was off to climb the hill to Fairfield. I was not going for speed at all, just trying to keep going. There was some moisture in the air that condensed on my glasses, but it was not really raining. It was a little warmer than it has been. Maybe we are past the freezing winter mornings now.

The last climb to the high point on the far side of the Fairfield estate is always hard, but then it is mostly downhill. If only running down hills was as easy as doing it on a bike. You still have to keep your legs moving.

As I came back through the village the place was coming to life as people head out. I saw a couple of people I know as well as some regulars I just know by sight.

Run free!

Some people exercise every day, so they could get to a thousand in that time. Not that I'm competing with anyone.

Not everything has to be a competition. Sometimes it's just good to compete against yourself or even just keep track of the data for the info

Wow, look at you go! Congrats on the milestone. That is pretty awesome. I am looking forward to the next week or so. It is warming up and my wife and I are taking a trip, so I hope to get a lot more steps into my day.

I too have been reading your post for two or three months now. You go for a walk every day. Due to which both your health and body are perfect. Keep it up bro.
