steevc just finished a 9.09km run, that lasted for 91 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 525.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
I am late writing this up as I have been out all day. My better half ran again today and her time gets better each week. For me that is more of a challenge.

It has been wet again this week, but I reckon the course does not get too muddy once it has dried out as the water just washes off it. When we got there I warmed up with a jog past the first corner. There I found that the boggy part was pretty soft, but that was the worst of it and the rest was fine.

I set off at a decent pace with a fair few ahead of me. I was swapping places with a young lady, but we each do our own thing. I had people in sight ahead of me, but was not going to catch them. Then a couple came past in the last half lap. It looked like I was catching a father and teenage son, but the father made a sprint for the finish and just as I caught the son he went off like a rocket.

I came 33rd of 95 in 25:44, which is not too bad. I am happy that my last few have all been under 26 minutes, but I still hope to improve.

I walked back to see my other half come in and jogged with her to the finish. We walked home past the roadworks that have closed the road again, but they are laying tarmac now.

After showers we were off shopping at Costco, the wholefood shop and the supermarket. We stocked up on a few things. That meant a late lunch before dashing out again for a jam at the Cricketers. The 'Piano Man' always has to go a step too far and performed 'You done my brain in' on the table.

I know The Eurovision Song Contest is on TV tonight, but I have no real interest in that. I will find other things to watch.

Run free!

I love the fact that your better half joins you in the run and I know it is a way to keep her fit.
I like that

When humans compete with each other like this, a lot of work is done on both sides. The biggest advantage is that the person then starts doing one thing every day.

I am doing cycling these days a lot instead of running.
