steevc just finished a 7.07km run, that lasted for 43 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 483.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
I was out for my first run since Saturday. I am trying not to overdo it until I know more about what is up with my hip. I should be seeing a physio soon.

After a warm weekend it has turned cooler, but was still okay for t-shirt and shorts today. I did my usual loop around Fairfield and it went well, although not especially quick. I was feeling my hip and not pushing too hard. I describe it as discomfort rather than pain, but I want to get it looked at before it gets worse.

Someone had obviously been around there with their horse as it had left a few deposits. Does this count as littering? It will not just rot down on the path, but someone could take it as manure.

I saw a few other runners out there doing their thing. I do not always see the same people, so there must be a lot of runners around here. Maybe I should put up some posters about parkrun to get more of them coming along. I will be timekeeping on Saturday, so may do a Sunday run.

Happy hump day and run free.

Very wise line of thought. I like that you don't classify it as pain just yet.

Horse poop on the pathway definitely counts as littering.

Good to see you burning some calorie✨

I managed to avoid stepping in it. I wonder if anyone will complain about the mess.

The hip is not hurting afterwards, so it may not be that bad. I just want to know what I can do about it.

Man, we had police horses trotting about here a few weeks ago and they decided to take a dump in my driveway. It's not a normal thing, prob some politician visited and they wanted to be fancy. I almost pulled out onto it when doing the school run! Then I spent the better half of 20 mins shoveling horseshit! Funny now but I was not laughing about it then. Lol

Hopefully the physio will sort you about. Weird that it doesn't bother you after. Perhaps it's a foot striking issue that needs correcting..but then again what do I know! When are you seeing the physio?

Some people would be happy to have some manure for their garden, so they may take it.

I have a list of physios from the insurance company. I need to phone some today.

Yeah, that's just horrible. We always pick up after our dog. I can't imagine how hard it would be to pick up that much though. I hope things get sorted out with your hip.

I've seen horses pulling coaches in cities have a thing to catch it all, but normal riders won't do that. I've just not seen it there before.

That's too bad. Maybe it will just be a one off.

I've not seen it like that before. Someone may have a word with them about it.

I guess when they're riding it's not that easy to pick up.
The poo of veggie eaters doesn't stink like that of meat eaters, so it's not as bad as a big pile of dog sh...
As veggie eaters our poo must smell of roses, I'm sure.. 😉

It's not so bad when they poo in fields, but on paths is not so great. I am not against 'country smells', but everything has its place.

Too right, it shouldn't be on the path.. very true!

I did a little jog today too. I want to start moving more. Do you have any move to earn apps to recommend?

Good for you. I don't use it, but Actifit seems an obvious choice for move to earn. It may help motivate you.
