We don't have a Soundcloud for Hive these days. There was Dsound, but it's long gone. 3speak is really our main option for multimedia. I need to look at CastGarden again, but I've not done a podcast for ages.

Like the track and have subscribed to the feed.

Was there a SoundCloud for Hive? I am currentlu listening to some music on https://audius.co/chinenual/shadows-72200 and have started setting up a profile of my own on there.

Another Web3 adventure begins and rather excited by that.

I am currently concentrating on writing my newsletter on Substack and keeping things going on Hive without copying and pasting between the two. I feel that responding to the audience is the best way of going about creating content as much as it is just for ourselves.

Thanks for subscribing to the podcast, it has 535 downloads so far, which is better than I expected, I guess that is the beauty of the good 'ol RSS which celebrated a big birthday recently.

@Dsound was the nearest we got to Soundcloud. I met the guy at one of the Fests, but I think the guy fell out with some of the big players. I don't know the full story.

I am on Audius, but not using it much. We need easy ways to embed various media in Hive posts to reduce the need to duplicate content. I don't have time to maintain multiple blogs and the engagement I get on Hive is pretty good anyway. I used to use my own site and Blogger, but got few responses on those.

I subscribed to your feed in Feedly. I still use that to follow lots of blogs, some of which rarely update. There are ways to get an RSS feed for Hive accounts, so people can follow you that way. I am all in favour of open standards. There is some ongoing work to integrate Hive with Mastodon that could increase the audience.

I tried embedding Audius earlier but I think only a handful of embeds are allowed. My goal is to whittle down the places I am on online too, as Hive has a lot going for it. Will be interested to learn more about RSS feeds and Hive but Mastodon to hive will be insanely powerful don't you think?

The Mastodon/Fediverse crowd tend to be quite opinionated about standards, but I suspect the masses will stick with proprietary platforms. Hive just needs to reach a bigger audience to have a chance of taking off and Mastodon has many times the active users.
