I just finished a 5.426km running that lasted about 0hh:31mm:59ss !

I have a plan to do a long run this weekend, so did not want to wear myself out today. I was surprised to see it had been raining a little and there was still some dampness in the air as I headed out. I was thinking of going across the railway and around the fields. I took a picture from the bridge to show the menacing clouds.

As I headed west along the farm tracks I decided to go a different way and turned north. I was not sure if I had taken this route before. That track came to an end at a big ploughed field. I decided to try running around the edge where it was not too muddy. Happily this brought me to a lane that I reached by squeezing through a gap in the trees. A farm dog had a good bark at me, but did not chase me.

I had been managing a decent pace on parts of the run, although the first kilometre was slow due to stopping for the photo. It takes a minute to get my phone out and then I have to restart the podcast player that always crashes when I use the camera.

I followed this lane to the main road, which was pretty busy. I ran along the edge until I reached the lane that comes away from the station car park where it was quieter. I saw hardly anyone else on this run, which is unusual. Even the station was almost empty.

From the station is was the usual route home going around the back of the houses. I did encounter a lady I know who said she wished she could run. I think most people can run and it just takes time and commitment to do it.

I was not too wet from the rain, but I was pretty warm. It concerns me that it is due to be hot this weekend, so maybe I need to get out extra early then.

Run free and stay well.

You have uploaded 174 running activities, and 30 of them have been of similar distances (within 10 percent)!
Here are your 5-fastest running activities of a similar distance:

Over these 30 similar activities, you have travelled approximately 157.39 kms at an average pace of roughly 5:25 min/km!
Your latest run was at a pace of approximately 5.894min/km!
Looks like you went a bit slower this time! Remember that it's important to take some rest days, and do some rehab / prehab / strength and conditioning training too! If you weren't intending to go slower, take a moment to listen to your body, and see if you need something. Check in with yourself!

I miss running. I used to go for 25-30 mins run a day daily. It was in a park near my house. I used to do 3-4 laps. Each lap being 0.8km.

But due to corona, I don't go out much. There are a lot of people there in morning. So, I just do burpees and pushups now and then. But nothing can replace running.

I will start again in a couple of months, once this virus is over.

I think running is fairly low risk as I can generally avoid going near people. Cases are low around here anyway. In a city it may be different. Just keep getting some exercise to stay fit. Burpees are a killer :)

Stay well.

Running is cool in an open ground, or offroad something. But where I live, there are only two places to run. Either on the side of the road, and in a park.

Most parks are full of people. Enclosed spaces. So, I avoid them. And my city is full of rash drivers. Especially teenagers, trying to show off while speeding.

So, I could literally die walking on the side of road. I try to avoid that😄

Yepp, burpees are really cool. But the feeling I have after running 3-4 kms in the morning, it doesn't come with anything else.

I'm lucky to have empty places to run. Don't take risks, but stay well.
