Morning Run - Come on legs!

I just finished a 6.667km running that lasted about 0hh:38mm:6ss !

After Sunday's long slog my legs were not feeling great. I also worked hard on cutting our big hedge at the weekend. So I had to drag myself out of bed today to run. The weather was good, but windy at times.

It was another run up the hill to Fairfield and my legs were struggling to find any speed in the first half. I did gradually get quicker as I went on and came back down the hill fairly quickly (for me). Quite a way off my quickest for that segment though.

As usual there were plenty of people our walking and a few runners. Some young kids were going to school or possibly nursery. UK schools are supposed to be re-opening next month, so I will have to avoid the crowds then. It gets light earlier now so I could set my alarm back a bit.

In the end it was not a bad run. When I stopped my watch it said I need 67 hours to recover! I assume it takes Sunday into account. I think I will be okay to run again in a couple of days.

I am reading this book about one man's reasons for running. He was doing up to six miles per day on average. My body does not seem to handle that sort of level, but maybe I could build up to it. I am not sure I want to be running for an hour each day though.

We each have our own reasons and goals for running. I am not out to beat others.

Run free and stay well.

Sounds like it was a decent run for you. The weather sounds like it is much nicer there than it is here. Though the sun is out, so I can't really complain I guess. I did a different workout this morning. It had me doing some intervals and running for a full two minutes straight at two different times for a total of four minutes. I'd like to think I am getting in better shape, but that about killed me!

Keep it up. I am sure it does you good. Do you still have snow? We are getting some rain lately, but today was okay. I am in most of the day as I am working with a break to feed the chickens at lunch time.

Oh yeah, we still have a good foot of snow on the ground. It will probably stick around until Spring now.
