Morning Run - Morning milestones

I just finished a 5.851km running that lasted about 0hh:34mm:56ss !

image

We are having a mini heatwave this week, so I hope to be in the pool later. I still wanted to do my regular run and so headed to West Drive for some hill repeats.

I do about a 300m climb that happens to coincide with a Stava segment, so I clock up plenty of instances of that. I did it five times today. On the first I noticed the sun looking pretty through the trees and so took a snap. That explains the drop in pace. That was actually my slowest climb and all the others were within a couple of seconds of each other. So I must be recovering well on the gentle jog downhill.

@run.vince.run had an elevation plot that looked like a cat, but my pace looks like five mutant moggies.

This was my 100th run of the year to almost total 900km. Today I also reached 70k HP as I powered up some earnings from games and other tokens.

I hope to be running parkrun again on Saturday. It may be cooler by then.

Run free and stay well.

:D

Just getting out there is more than many people do. I think the benefits are well worth the effort. I just wish I'd started running when I was much younger.

Stay well and strong.

Me too I always say that. I started in my late 20s but only really started enjoying nit in my 30s. Now I have a little kid and a demanding job and just don't have the time. I just wish I had more time to run. Kid is sick today so no running for me. Then Tomo a bunch of meetings so Friday has to be it. Life hey. What can we do!

I started in my late 40s :) My kids have not run much with me, but they do their own fitness stuff. Son would like to get into it professionally.

Hope your kid is better soon.

Cheers. I like to celebrate these little milestones. I'm amazed at what I have achieved on Hive, but then we have such great people here.

Good work running in this heat Steve. I took a ride to the allotment today, did some weeding and essential tasks and rode home and that left me knackered 😂

I was never a runner though, just don't have the right body type. Also, seriously smashed my kees up when I was a youngun skateboarding. Arthritis and running don't go well together.

Is it hot up there? Up to about 30C here today. Running is not for everyone, but cycling can be good with less impact on the joints. I'd like to ride more.

Huh, 100th run this year? That's massive. I don't think I have run up to 20 times this year excluding when I tried playing football.

Congratulations for reaching 70k HP. It really not easy to reach that feat.

I aim to run 3 or 4 times each week, but have missed a few through injury and illness. Now parkrun is back that may encourage me to run more.

I had been hoping for 70k this year, but got there ahead of schedule. Maybe 75k will be possible. Whale is still a long way off :)

It's good you set target for yourself which would make you keep track and ensure you take action. I will have to set for myself...at least once in a week early morning.

I think 75k will be possible. I see you reaching 80k before the year runs out!

I don't have hard goals, but I like to imagine where I could be. I know how much I am likely to make each week. I have some income from games that I can use to buy more HIVE. I can't justify spending too much fiat on it though. It's all going pretty well for now and I am sure more people will be inspired by the price going up.

Sounds so cool. Keep at it.

By the way, which of the games do you play to earn hive or sell and convert to hive? Any recommendation?

I play Splinterlands which has an initial cost and has got expensive if you want to buy cards, and Rising Star which is free to start. You can make something from these, but it is not likely to be much at the start. I have pumped a lot of my winnings back into the games.

Okay, I once tried playing splinterland when a friend of mine @johndoer123 encouraged me to do so. I was bad at it!
I will try out "Rising Star".

I am not that great at Splinterlands, but I can win a few battles.

This photo shot is beautiful, thanks for sharing with us. This morning I tried to do some push-ups, but I don't know why I got a big headache right away, maybe I had a poor breakfast.

Got to get the right nutrition. Take it easy and do what works for you. We each have our own goals.

I also think it was a power problem ... in this case it may be that I had eaten little for breakfast
