France advance to the Semis, while England Crash Out

The game started in an intense fashion, as you would expect. In the first half, France had the upper hand, with Antoine Griezman dictating play in the middle of the park. England was unable to get their front players involved enough, as only Saka got the ball more. Foden could not impact the game, but Harry Kane tried to get a couple of attempts on goal. This can be said to be caused by the compact nature of the French midfield. Aurelien Tchouameni and Adrien Rabiot are two technically gifty footballers, and they showed their quality today. England was so tactically positioned to block out Mbappe, that they forgot Griezman. Kyle Walker did a solid job though, as Mbappe only got the better of him once, and the chance amounted to nothing. The second half was a different story, as the English were more imposing, eventually winning a penalty through Bukayo Saka, to level things up after Tchouameni gave the french the lead in the first half with a blinding strike. Giroud scored a trademark header and it looked like all hope was lost for England, but Mason Mount won a late penalty after a rash challenge from Theo Hernandez. A penalty Harry Kane put into Row Z. A wonderful game that saw France clinch the win and go through to the semis.
