Baseball - SF Giants Run-Line - 15th June

Hello all,

Strategy Summary

So to recap on what I'm doing with this betting strategy:

  • Using the run-line market to back the SF Giants to win a game.
  • This will generally mean a -1.5 run-line bet meaning the Giants will need to win by at least 2 runs to give a successful bet.
  • Occassionally, and usually dependent on a) the opposition, and/or b) odds offered by my bookie I'll flip it to a +1.5 run-line bet, meaning the Giants can either lose by 1 run, or win the game to give a winning bet.
  • Initially, at least, amount staked will be a modest £0.10 GBP - so this is not a strategy to rake in huge amounts, but hopefully will bring us a profit by the end of the season.
Yesterday's Summary - 13th June
The Game

Game 2 of the series saw the Giants nab a 4-2 win stretching the win streak to 5. Logan Webb emerged as the winning pitcher for his 6th win of the campaign. An excellent stint of 7 scoreless innings, giving up 5 hits and 3 walks, striking out 9 hitters in the process. Tyler Rogers, and Camilo Doval closed out the game with an inning each combining for 3 hits, 2 strikeouts and 1 walk. Doval grabbed his 9th save of the season

Offensively the Giants runs came from 5 hits, scored by Mike Yastrzemski, Wilmer Flores, Joc Pederson, and Luis Gonzalez. 3 runs came in the 6th inning, with the final run coming off a scrifice fly, the second of the night by Tommy La Stella, to center in the 8th.

Our Bet

A winning bet for us yesterday, thanks to that cruicial final run in the 8th inning giving the Giants the 2 run victory that we needed.

Today's Bet - 15th June

Giants will be looking to complete a second series sweep in a row, as game 3 against the Royals rolls around. No decision, yet, as who will be taking the mound.

At the time of writing, my bookie has yet to include this match-up in their baseball markets, so at the moment I'm unable to place my bet. This may be due to them waiting to see who will be the starting pitcher for the game. Update to follow!

That's it for today! Go Giants!! Have a great day, and thanks for reading.
