Betting - Tracked Horses Strategy - #1 - My Boy Jack

Hi sports fans, and sports bettors.

As i've roamed around the internet i've managed to come across a number of sites that give free daily tip suggestions, and one in particular that does this is Tipsters Empire. They are a collection of tipsters, seemingly quite successful in making a profit most months of the year with the tips they give out via their paid services. However, they also go a bit further than that, and also regularly give out suggestions for horses to follow that have caught their attention, also for free.

As a result, I've accumulated a number of suggestions that I'm now turning into a series of posts on those when they are scheduled to race, and the bets I place on them.

Today we kick off with MY BOY JACK trained by Kevin Philippart de Foy, based at Newmarket. A 3yo chestnut gelding that made his debut in September 2021 in a 7f class 3 event at Leicester, finishing 5th of the 7 runners. Has run a further 12 times since then managing a second, and four third place finishes. Only moved to his current yard in August this year where he has a current record of 6 runs, 0 wins, 1 second, 2 thirds. The second place was the most recent result in a class 6 sprint over 6f on a slow all-weather track beaten by less than 2 lengths.

This what the tipster Rendlesham Racing said about MY BOY JACK in an email received from Tipsters Empire following his previous race to that noted above

A Horse For The Notebook Rendlesham Racing Week 15
MY BOY JACK
Trainer - Kevin Philippart De Foy
My notebook horse this week is this 3yr old gelding who caught the eye on Saturday at Wolverhampton. That run was over 6f, in a 0-55 handicap where he finished 3rd of 9 runners, beaten just under a length by Admiral Lad. I thought that was a promising performance as he was slowly away and was forced to race very wide early on before settling right towards the rear and he was still at the rear 2f from home where he eventually picked up and ran home strongly. He didn't get the clearest of runs either, having to weave his way through and arguably finishing best.
He's now a 12 race maiden but he's only had 5 starts for this yard who do so well at getting the best out of horses from other yards and he's been backed in his last few starts too, which suggests he's doing enough at home to make connections think he's got wins in him. His opening handicap mark last season was 67 and he's now dropped to 55 so there's no doubt he's well handicapped and he's shown he does have ability. Hopefully he'll remain on the mark he raced off on Saturday and there's sure to be an AW 0-55 race somewhere for him and I think he will get 7f if he's dropped out cold and gets a decent pace to aim at but 6f shouldn't be a problem at all. I think he's got the type of profile and at the type of yard that if he can get his head in front, he could well get on a roll and climb up the handicap (dam was rated 89 & a half sister to a horse rated in the 100's). He's one to follow for sure.

I'm starting this series with a modest £0.10 Win bet, which as you will see from the copy bet slip above was estimated to return £0.43 at the time the bet was placed. However, since then 1 of the runners has been withdrawn, and the bookies have imposed a rule 4 deduction to account for what is deemed a slightly easier rase to win now. So as it stands the expected returns (according to an online odds calculator I use) will be £0.35.
