At last the drought is broken, with New Pursuit providing a much needed winner yesterday. A good jump out of the gates allowed him to settle quickly, and track the leader until coming round the turn for home. The leader drifted to the centre of the course, leaving an easy run up the inside. Moved to take the lead over a furlong from home, and whilst a brief re-challenge from the initial leader came, he was able to stretch away a bit more inside the final furlong, winning easing down at the line.
