Just missed out on a second winning bet in a row, as our pick ran home third, in a race my bookie was paying 2 places (this is the norm in the UK with only 6 runners - unfortunately).
Ran in the middle of the pack for much of the race, moving forward at around 3f to go, pushed on 2f out, and kept on, albeit one paced inside the final furlong, finishing 4 lenghts behind the leading two.
