Nice write up of memories

The SAF MUFC era is unlikely to be replicated in English football due to it overlapping with the EPL starting.

But it's demise is down to the club not doing their succession planning correctly, and the club has suffered for it.

I grew up with Liverpool as the dominant team. They dismantled their succsesful method of changing managers and didn't win the league for 30yrs.

MUFC are already a third of the way to matching that.

In England, no team is dominant forever.

This, right here, is my worst fear. United doesn't look a team that will win the league in five years time. And with other teams strengthening their base, it may as well last three decades before we fall upon a Klopp-like dude that will get us back up.

We are living in Man City's world now, and that's as punishing as it can ever get.
