Hola a todos. Es curioso que mi segunda publicación en esta comunidad sea para hablar de algo que me ocurrió en la primera publicación: el cese del funcionamiento de mi hornilla eléctrica. Y es que, a pesar de que la que estaba utilizando, tenía pocos meses de uso, repentinamente está mañana comenzó a tardar más de lo habitual a la hora de cocinar.

Hello everyone. It is curious that my second post in this community is to talk about something that happened to me in the first post: the cessation of the operation of my electric stove. And it is that, despite the fact that the one I was using had only been used for a few months, suddenly this morning it began to take longer than usual when cooking.

Mi novio antes de salir de trabajar, me comunicó el problema, lo cual hizo que tardara en preparar su desayuno y almuerzo. Tras marcharse, tomé la decisión de ir a conseguir una nueva hornilla, ya que es necesaria para cocinar algunos alimentos. Por suerte, tenemos algo de dinero de emergencia para estos casos. Con un poco de tedio, me aliste para salir, ya que debido a mis actividades diarias, me he vuelto una persona sedentaria y salgo muy poco, a lugares cercanos. Sin mencionar que no me sentía en condiciones de caminar mucho, dado que en ocasiones, mis pies se hinchan y casualmente los mismos se habían hinchado un poco anoche (tengo familiares que sufren de la circulación). Aún así, luego de desayunar, me puse mis zapatos deportivos y fui al centro a buscar las opciones de compra que se ajustaran a mi bolsillo. Por suerte, luego de visitar un par de tiendas, acabé llegando a donde compré mis primeras hornillas (que tuvieron más duración) y mis audífonos (que aún funcionaba). Fue como una especie de revelación divina cuando vi la hornilla de la marca que estaba buscando... ¡¡Y a solo 4$!! No podía creerlo, ya que en otros lugares estaban más que al doble que eso y la hornilla que tengo en casa (la que se dañó) me costó 6$. De modo que la compré enseguida.

Before leaving work, my boyfriend told me about the problem, which made it take him a long time to prepare his breakfast and lunch. After leaving I made the decision to go get a new stove as it is needed to cook some food. Luckily, we have some emergency money for these cases. With a bit of tedium, I got ready to go out, since due to my daily activities, I have become a sedentary person and I go out very little, to nearby places. Not to mention, I didn't feel up to walking much, since my feet sometimes swell up and coincidentally my feet had swelled up a bit last night (I have relatives who suffer from circulation). Still, after breakfast, I put on my sneakers and went downtown to look for the shopping options that fit my pocket. Luckily, after visiting a couple of stores, I ended up where I bought my first stoves (which lasted longer) and my headphones (which still worked). It was kind of like a divine revelation when I saw the stove from the brand I was looking for... And for only $4!! I couldn't believe it, since other places were more than double that and the stove I have at home (the one that broke) cost me $6. So I bought it right away.

Cuando venía de regreso, empecé a sentir algo de malestar, por suerte para mí, las nubes acudieron y ocultaron un poco el sol abrasador, así que pude caminar más tranquila. Compré ingredientes para poder cocinar algo de sopa y poder probar la hornilla y al llegar, calenté un poco de agua caliente para aliviar mi dolencia. Siempre tengo miedo las primeras veces en usar las hornillas porque tienen mucha potencia.

When I was coming back, I started to feel some discomfort, luckily for me, the clouds came and hid the scorching sun a bit, so I was able to walk calmer. I bought ingredients so that I could cook some soup and I could test the stove and when I arrived, I heated up some hot water to relieve my ailment. I'm always scared the first few times I use the burners because they have a lot of power.

Para mi suerte, mis pies están bien y la caminata, aunque algo cansada por el sol y el ajetreo de la ciudad, ahora que descanse, pienso que fue algo reconfortante. Me gustaría poder anexar algo de actividad física en mi rutina, para irme alejando del sedentarismo. Así que espero ir subiendo de tanto en tanto mis actividades. Luckily for me, my feet are fine and the walk, although somewhat tiring due to the sun and the hustle and bustle of the city, now that I rest, I think it was somewhat comforting.
