Hello everyone in this community! As I've mentioned in previous posts, I'm away from home enjoying a well-deserved vacation. I can usually stay away from home for quite a while, as long as I can take care of my needs, including having clean clothes. Being in a rural area where access to water is limited, something as simple as washing clothes can be quite a challenge. Of course, people who are used to it and live here don't have a problem with it, but as for me, I need to solve this issue in the best way possible without inconveniencing my hosts, so I've decided to do my laundry at my friends' houses.

Luckily, two friends have offered to let me do my laundry at their houses and use their washing machines. That's a huge relief, since I can wash my clothes by hand, but not too many, because I get tired quickly and my skin tends to chafe easily, which causes painful sores. So, today I asked one of my friends if I could do my laundry at her house, taking advantage of the fact that it was one of the days her water was working. I got up early and went there, surprised to find I could get the two cars I needed without waiting too long, because time was of the essence.

Once the clothes were washed, I left them to dry while I checked my friend's sewing machine. It's been acting up, so she'd put it away and wasn't going to use it anymore. I was hoping I could fix it so she wouldn't give up sewing, but after checking it, it seems the machine has a misalignment on the bottom. So we agreed that I'd watch some tutorials on it and then come back later to try to fix it. For now, I feel much better knowing I have clean clothes. Going back to the capital right now isn't a good option, so I'll do my best to be comfortable where I am until I can return. Wish me luck ✨💚

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad! Como he comentado en posts anteriores, me encuentro fuera de casa tomándome unas merecidas vacaciones. Por lo general, puedo quedarme fuera de casa por bastante tiempo, siempre que pueda satisfacer mis necesidades, entre ellas, tener ropa limpia. Estando en una zona rural donde el acceso al agua es limitado, algo tan sencillo como lavar la ropa, puede ser todo un desafío. Por supuesto, las personas que están acostumbradas y viven aquí, no tienen problema con ello, pero en cuanto a mí, debo solucionar esa cuestión de la mejor manera sin incomodar a quienes me dan hospedaje, por lo que he optado por lavar mi ropa en casa de mis amigas.

Por suerte, dos amigas se han ofrecido a dejarme lavar en sus casas y usar sus lavadoras. Eso me alivia bastante, ya que puedo lavar mi ropa a mano, pero no mucha cantidad, pues me canso rápido y mi piel tiende a romperse con facilidad, lo que me genera heridas dolorosas. De esa forma, hoy le pedí a una de mis amigas el favor de dejarme lavar en su casa, aprovechando que precisamente era de los días que el agua, le llegaba. Me levanté temprano y fui hasta allá, sorprendiéndome de lograr tomar los dos automóviles que necesitaba sin esperar mucho, pues el tiempo era crucial.

Una vez que la ropa estuvo lavada, la dejé secando mientras le hacía un chequeo a la máquina de coser de mi amiga. Le ha estado fallando y por tanto, la había guardado para no usarla más. Estaba esperanzada de poder solucionar su problema para que no dejase la costura, pero, tras revisarla, parece que la máquina tiene un desajuste en la parte de abajo. Así que quedamos en que vería algunos tutoriales sobre ello y volvería luego a intentar repararla. Por los momentos, me siento más tranquila sabiendo que tengo ropa limpia. Regresar a la capital del país en éste momento, no es una buena opción, así que, haré lo posible por estar cómoda en donde estoy hasta que pueda regresar. Deséenme suerte ✨💚
