Cuando compré mi Playstation 4 por allá por el 2022 , me harté las primeras semanas jugando los juegos más populares, juegos como Red Dead Redemption, The Last of Us, God of War, Uncharted 4 y otros que sin duda los disfruté a tope. Sabía que había miles de juegos más, pero ya había disfrutado de los mejores títulos, con poca esperanza de que apareciera un juego que me llenara tanto como RDR2 o The Last of Us por ejemplo. Hasta que un día un amigo me hace un regalo, Days Gone, nunca había escuchado de este, ni imaginaba que existiera, enseguida busqué algunas reseñas que no lo dejaban en muy buen lugar, incluso le pregunté a mi primo sobre que creía de este juego y su comentario no fué muy positivo, pero por suerte decidí vivir la experiencia por mí mismo y le dí una oportunidad.

When I bought my Playstation 4 back in 2022, I spent the first few weeks playing the most popular games, games like Red Dead Redemption, The Last of Us, God of War, Uncharted 4 and others that I undoubtedly enjoyed to the fullest. I knew there were thousands more games, but I had already enjoyed the best titles, with little hope that a game would come along that would fill me as much as RDR2 or The Last of Us for example. Until one day a friend gives me a gift, Days Gone, I had never heard of it, nor imagined it existed, I immediately looked for some reviews that did not leave it in a very good place, I even asked my cousin about what he thought of this game and his comment was not very positive, but luckily I decided to live the experience for myself and gave it a chance.

Por eso hoy he querido compartir una breve reseña y opinión muy personal sobre este juego, y si has llegado hasta aquí me alegra y porsupuesto, si no ha jugado este juego y ha pensado en jugarlo tengo que hacer una alerta de spoilers. Dicho todo esto, aquí vamos!!

So today I wanted to share a brief review and very personal opinion about this game, and if you've made it this far I'm glad and of course, if you haven't played this game and have thought about playing it I have to do a spoiler alert. Having said all that, here we go!!!

Days gone es un videojuego de mundo abierto que nos sumerge en un ambiente post apocalíptico,un mundo destruido debido a una especie de pandemia que ha convertido a los seres humanos en una especie de zombies, llamados freakers, haciendo a las personas seres irracionales, agresivos, y más veloces. Todo esto se desarrolla específicamente en Oregon, Estados Unidos.

Days gone is an open world video game that immerses us in a post apocalyptic environment, a world destroyed due to a kind of pandemic that has turned humans into a kind of zombies, called freakers, making people irrational, aggressive, and faster beings. All this takes place specifically in Oregon, United States.

Trama y protagonistas:

Estamos al mando de un cazarrecompensas llamado Deacon St. Jhon, un motociclista que acompañado de su amigo Boozer se las ha inventado para sobrevivir en este ambiente de terror. La historia principal se centra en buscar a su esposa Sarah, de la cuál nos separamos al principio del juego porque esta estaba mal herida y dejamos en un helicóptero de NERO(Agentes del gobierno) ya que no había espacio para más personas y solo podían llevar a una, todo con la esperanza de algún día volver a encontrarla. Pasado los años Deacon da por perdida a Sarah hasta que descubre que NERO aún estaba en activo, y tras encontrar al científico O'Brian, el mismo científico con que dejo a su esposa en aquel helicóptero, empieza nuevamente una busqueda que enriquecerá la trama y profundizará en cada personaje. Una historia llena de emociones que poco a poco nos hará sentirnos en personaje y envolvernos con su relato.

En mi opinión es una historia que a veces sentía que era un poco larga y daba muchas vueltas, en ocasiones cayendo en pausas de la narrativa y desviando el enfoque de la trama, pero también me sentí muy cerca de lo que transmitía Deacon y también casi sentir la necesidad de cubrir una perdida que era irreparable. Puede que sea de gusto para muchos o puede que no, pero es una historia que merece la paciencia que se le pueda tener.

Plot and main characters:

We are in command of a bounty hunter named Deacon St. John, a biker who, along with his friend Boozer, has managed to survive in this environment of terror. The main story focuses on finding his wife Sarah, which we separated at the beginning of the game because she was badly wounded and left in a helicopter NERO (government agents) because there was no room for more people and could only take one, all in the hope of someday find her again. After years Deacon considers Sarah lost until he discovers that NERO was still active, and after finding the scientist O'Brian, the same scientist with whom he left his wife in that helicopter, he begins again a search that will enrich the plot and deepen each character. A story full of emotions that little by little will make us feel in character and involve us with his story.

In my opinion it is a story that at times I felt it was a bit long and took too many turns, sometimes falling into narrative pauses and diverting the focus of the plot, but I also felt very close to what Deacon was conveying and also almost feeling the need to cover a loss that was irreparable. It may or may not be to the liking of many, but it is a story that deserves whatever patience you can give it.

Days Gone nos presenta detalles visuales increíbles, como paisajes únicos, la sucesión de los días y las noches, los cambios en el clima, animales, la magnífica física de nuestra motocicleta y como el terreno la afecta. Sin dudas una experiencia increíble, aunque si es verdad que también tiene sus bugs y a veces el rendimiento no es el mejor, pero no desacredita para nada su encanto visual.

Graphics

Days Gone presents us with incredible visual details, such as unique landscapes, the succession of days and nights, changes in the weather, animals, the magnificent physics of our motorcycle and how the terrain affects it. Undoubtedly an incredible experience, although it is true that it also has its bugs and sometimes the performance is not the best, but it does not discredit its visual charm at all.

Supervivencia y combates:

En el juego contaremos con distintos tipos de recompensas, ya sea por cada freaker que eliminemos, las diferentes misiones secundarias que nos darán los jefes de campamentos o cazando animales. Estas recompensas podrán ser canjeadas por armas, municiones, botiquines, mejoras para nuestra motocicleta y gasolina. Podremos eliminar a nuestro enemigo, que podrían ser freakers, campamentos, animales y muchos más de diferentes maneras, podremos atacarlos con nuestras armas de una forma agresiva o podemos usar el sigilo como nuestro aliado.

Survival and combat:

In the game we will have different types of rewards, either for each freaker we eliminate, the different side missions that will give us the camp bosses or hunting animals. These rewards can be exchanged for weapons, ammunition, first aid kits, improvements for our motorcycle and gasoline. We can eliminate our enemy, which could be freakers, camps, animals and many more in different ways, we can attack them with our weapons in an aggressive way or we can use stealth as our ally.

La banda sonora se enlaza perfectamente con cada situación del juego, haciéndonos sentir aún más vivido cada instante. También cuenta como canciones como Soldiers Eyes de Jack Savoretti y Days Gone Quiet de Lewis Capaldi. Canciones que aquí les dejo.
