Travelling and visit zoo: August 9 2022

This morning 4 a.m. we started to travel back from Burgas to Sofia where we left my wife at the airport to fly back to Spain. I went to visit the local zoo. We were having our flights SOF-MUC and MUC-BRU. The second one we were supposed to have but because of the delay in the first one we've missed it. Fortunately we were in good hands with Lufthansa and in München they've given us taxi, hotel and something to eat and drink. And most importantly the choice when to fly the next day. All in all we were 33h on our way from Burgas to Brussels and slept only 4,5 of them... #AliveAndThriving #alive

I must say I'm doing quite well. It's a very calm period now. and I have been following up every now and than in the few "dead moments" I had... So today I caught up a lot already, and tomorrow, just before the weekend, exactly like planned, I'll be back on cruise speed. !LUV !CTP

I wonder as well LOL. Maybe I'll take a few days when / if my father comes to visit (in October?) and a few more in December around Christmas, but I don't think I'm going anywhere. The next real vacation will be very probably around Eastern !PIZZA !CTP

That it's very probable that I'll go on Holiday again around Eastern. Recently I tend to go to Belgium by car in the Easter Holidays, staying at my fathers place for a few days and the next few days visiting France. I'll see, because it's a long time befor March-April... !LOL !CTP

I meant "have grown up", so that they can go on their own or I don't need to take them on these expenisve and long flights !LOL Anyway possibly we're going there in a few years when they "are growing up" and understand more from the culture and so. I wouldn't go there merely for the beaches since I've got great beaches closer to home as well... !PIZZA !CTP

It's definitely more fulfilling but it'll cost me 2x, 3x, 4x the money , depending on how many of them I'll take with me and depending if my wife would be sharing the costs.... !LUV !PGM

If it costs just the same per person to ride a plane, then you should avoid riding separately and instead try your best to ride a plane and enjoy vacation together. 🤗 !LUV !PGM

My point is that I'd avoid to take expensive planes. Car holidays are fun as well. Apart from that, one doesn't need to rent a car any more or pay taxis all the time. And most importantly we can take basically everything with us... !LUV !PIZZA !CTP

If you want to avoid riding expensive planes, maybe you could find affordable planes to ride on. 😏

It's also cool to have vacations via car because it's cheaper and you don't have to strictly follow any weight limit, though that would mean you could have a vacation only in the same country or neighboring countries. 🤓 !LUV !PIZZA !CTP

Indeed, even though i take the boat from Mallorca to Barcelona (which takes about 7-8 hours than drive through the nort-easth of Spain, crossing France completely, toa rrive in Belgium. Taht's quite a trip already, if you'd ask me. And there's a lot of different things to see and do... !LUV

In case of travelling with the car for me that's definitely the case, and certainly when it's travelling back home that i'm doing when I'm crossing France coming from Belgium and heading to Spain... !PIZZA !CTP

In fact it's the possibility to get to place where I wouldn't come taking a plane, and to be able to travel at the rhythm I want. I mean, with a car you can stop whereever you want, for how long / short you want. During the last trip I decided even in the afternoon in which city we would spend the night - depending on the progress we made on the road. !PGM !CTP

Being able to stop your car wherever you want is a good thing, but doing it a lot might mess up your timetable of activities for your vacation. 😅

Not really, we were going to visit an animal park the next day and the matter was to take a city at half an hour from the animal park, just before it or just after it. in the end we decided to take the first option and leave early enough to be at opening time at the animal park. That was in Sigean by the way. A very big animal park where the animals were living in their natural environment and one could enter with his own car to try to spot the animals. I had been doing such a thing in Cuba about 10 years ago and I !love it. My children like to go and see animals as well, so that was a great day! !CTP

It's oftentimes a good idea to go to parks just during opening time, because places during opening hours are usually cleaner, quieter, and more spacious. 🧘‍♂️🤓 !LUV !CTP

In my opinion they should be clean ALL the time, not "cleaner" at opening times. but it also depends on the visitors of course. Short after opening time indeed they're a lot quieter and that's a big advantage in animal parks. And not only in animal parks, it's as well the case at water or amusement parks, where the rows for the attractions are a lot less long close to opening time... !PGM !CTP

I agree that places should be clean all the time, but it's unavoidable that most places get less clean the more people there are and the longer those places are open. 😅 You still acknowledge the other advantages of being early, which are the less noise and less queue in lines. 😏 !PGM !CTP

Hahahatoday i was thinking about this conversation. I took the day off to go to the waterpark with my children (post will be for tomorrow, since I still have to post the actifit from yesterday) and my daughter had the plan to leave the bags and go immediately go to the place that has got the longuest queues during the day. We did it 3 times and the third time the queue was a lot longer already... Later on the day she went with her brother and some friends and the queue was endless... !PIZZA !CTP

It's rare for me to encounter lockers whenever I go to parks or resorts (or any other vacation or recreation place). 🤔 It's either you bring your own valuables (if you won't swim), ask a companion to take care of your belongings, or leave your things in your car. 😅 !PIZZA !CTP

Taht's true, but maybe you ened some money to buy something from the strongly overprized bars. Or you would like to have your phone or camera with you (but not all the time and not in the water). And asking a companion to take care of your belongings is ok when you're goin in a large group, but a little difficult when you're going with your children. !CTP !LOL

I wouldn't be in favour to take it into the water and anyway for safety reasson they wouldn't allow me to take it in most of the slides I guess. On the other hand I would get great pictures... !PGM !CTP

Of course, no one should bring fragile gadgets such as cameras and smartphones with them if they would use the slides (or diving board). 😅
