  • Durbar Shahi was installed. Sultan Mahmud Ghaznavi came.
All the ministers and nobles are also present. King Salamat had a pearl in his hand. He showed that diamond to the court minister and asked: What will the price of this pearl be? The minister's well-cared presence is a very precious thing. In Ghulam's opinion, it would be worth as much as a manna of gold.
Sultan said: Very well, that is what we thought. The Sultan ordered to destroy it. The minister folded his hands in surprise and said: How can I break this precious pearl when I am the custodian and benefactor of your wealth?
Sultan said, we are happy with your good wishes. After a while, the Sultan gave the pearl to the Vice-Vazir and inquired about its value. The Minister submitted that I am unable to estimate its value in my presence. Sultan said break it. He began to ask, Lord, how can I break such a precious pearl, whose second is impossible to find and whose brilliance is like the sunlight. The Sultan praised his understanding. Then after a few moments he gave the same pearl to Amir al-Amra and told him to break it. He also made an excuse and excused him from breaking it. The king rewarded everyone and praised their loyalty and sincerity. As the king praised the courtiers and raised their status, those low-level people went astray from the straight path and fell into the blind well. The emirs and ministers seen by the vizier's court showed that they were loyal and watchful to the Daulat Shahi.

  • The Sultan tested all the courtiers and benefactors of wealth. Finally, Sultan gave that pearl to Ayaz and said: O Watcher! Now it's your turn to tell me what the price of this pearl will be. Ayaz said, O master! It's worth more than any of my guesses. Sultan said: Well, it is our order, then break it. Ayaz immediately broke the diamond into pieces. He was aware of Ghulam Agha's method of examination. So don't fall for this scam. When the pearl was broken, all the courtiers got up and said, "You fool, you dare to break such a precious and rare pearl." Ayaz, after hearing their raving, said: Sir, put your hand on your heart and tell me that the price of this pearl was more or that of the royal order. In your eyes, the Sultan's command is more valuable or the despised pearl, you saw the diamond, saw its value and luster, but did not see the one who gave the command. That soul is impure and wicked who keeps a contemptible stone in his sight and ignores the commandments. When Ayaz revealed this secret, the eyes of the courtiers opened and their necks bowed in shame and regret. The Sultan said that you consider it necessary to break my order in comparison with a small stone. After saying this, he ordered the royal executioner to behead everyone. All disobedients began to tremble. Ayaz took pity on their helplessness and told the king that the reason for their disobedience is simply because of your kindness and the excess of forgiveness. Indeed, they lost the game, but it happened so much that they realized their mistake, so forgive them. The king accepted Ayaz's recommendation and pardoned everyone.
    Narratives of Rumi
When a person forgets the commandments of Allah and runs after wealth and fame, humiliation becomes his destiny. Ayaz was familiar with the secrets of royal temperament, he looked beyond the apparent brilliance of the diamond and preferred the rule of the royal to the diamond, that's why he became close. That is why, if we, the Almighty Allah and the Benefactor of the Universe, the Crowned Prophets, Hazrat Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), will obey you, then the good of this world and the hereafter will come to our feet, and if we turn away, we will have nothing but humiliation and humiliation. will come.
