We calculate the distance that light travels in a year as a light year. In this calculation, one light year means 6 trillion miles. This time, NASA's James Webb Space Telescope has identified a possible planet 4.37 light years away from Earth. The planet is orbiting the sun-like star 'Alpha Centauri A'. Since the planet is gaseous, it is not suitable for life. Although scientists have called this new discovery a planet for now, further observation and analysis will be required to confirm.

Alpha Centauri A is a star system with three stars. In addition to Alpha Centauri A, there are Alpha Centauri B and the red dwarf Proxima Centauri. In the meantime, two confirmed planets of Proxima have been known. Proxima B is located there as a habitable planet. There has been a long-standing interest in Alpha Centauri. It is similar to our sun. The discovery of a new planet around the star Alpha Centauri A has received quite a response.
