Yes electric cars are a good solution and am sure if crypto does well in the next few years you will own an electric car. In Kenya they have reduced import duty on electric cars but still that shift from petrol will take time. Do enjoy your Thursday ahead :}
In some European countries or maybe Scandinavian they have made electric cars tax exempt which makes them as affordable as petrol cars if they did that in more countries then they would be affordable
But let’s hope crypto climbs again as you say
