Where have all the tulips gone?

Another day another Actifit report.

As always the day starts with me taking the dog out for his morning walk.

Today however, I had read a post by @dswigle from MarketFriday about the tulip festival going on where she is.

Then I read some of the comments about tulips from around the world and how they are selling for $1 or more each.

In honor of that I thought I would take some pictures of the local tulips.

Unfortunately we have been getting rain, rain, and more rain. Sure there have been some sunny breaks but even now I'm looking at overcast skies.

Looking at these tulips I'm certain they are looking forward to more sunshine and warmer temperatures.

However there are some holdouts that are doing their best to try and make a flower for us.

Keep walking through the park and come across a little memorial. There are a few in the park. Normally I wouldn't picture them but today is all about the tulips.

Which should be in bloom but not really that vibrant this year.

The walk continues and I head up by the arena and tennis court.

The poor tulips aren't looking much better there.

Guess weather like this makes some cool looking pictures of the clouds and skies but really isn't great for the flowers.

Even the daffodils are looking a little sad...but at least they are making a better show than the tulips. Although someday I'll have to make a post about litter and garbage (sigh)

Return home with the doggo and get ready for work. I'll post about my work as a Pharmacist another time but got a few steps there.

Walked to church after work. Enjoyed the sermon then walked the rest of the way home. A nice gentleman offered me a ride home as it was raining. I would accept but I need the exercise.

Then when I get home what's up next? Walk the dog...again...

Now I'm tired after a long day but 5min into the walk my son calls me and wants to join and talk. (sigh) Of course I say yes, I'll never say no to my son when he wants to chat. Soon enough he will leave home and I'll rarely see him...until then I'll take what time I can get!

My 15min dog walk turns into a 65min dog walk. I listen as my son talks about selling his motorcycle (so glad about that). Talks about his ex-girlfriend..and about a couple new girls he's excited about and just met.

Overall a good talk but I get home and I'm really tired.

That means, time for bed and get ready to do it all over again tomorrow.

And one final picture. While the tulips are having a terrible year at least the tulip trees are in bloom and I'd rather leave you with a pretty picture.
