Back to the routine after a rainstorm

Yesterday was nice. However, this morning I woke up to heavy rain and wind at 4:30am. Much too early.

However, at least the rain didn't stay around until 7am when I went to take the dog for a walk.

Overall a nice cool morning. Lots of puddles but no raindrops. I can handle that. I took a little different route today and figured I'd take a picture of one of the nicer front yards along the way.

When I got home I took a look at the local newspaper and found out what caused all the smoke I wrote about a couple days back. Seems there was a barn fire not too far from my house.

It was indeed on the far side of the freeway so walking there would have been longer than I had time for. At least I now know what caused all the smoke in the sky though.

For the rest of the morning I did housework. Turkey treats for the dog. Wash dishes. Vacuum. Wash clothes. Make bed...all those types of things. My wife has been working long hours and she gets grumpy if she thinks I wasn't productive during the day.

Posting on HIVE doesn't count as productive :(

After all the housework was done it was time to head off to the mall.

Cherry blossoms and puddles. Not my favorite combination but it works.

I also took a couple pictures of the nice condo buildings I pass every morning. I always take pictures of the sunrise, trees and park. Today I thought I'd show the homes of the people who get that beautiful view from their front window.

Then it was off to the mall to get a new cellphone. My mother and father in law have returned to Canada from the Philippines and they really wanted a local phone number.

Guess who gets to find them the best deal...

The son in law.... aka...me.

But that's OK. More steps.

Then back to home and get ready to make dinner for the kids, get ready to post on HIVE, and then off to walk the dog in the evening.

Overall, not a bad way to get over 20K steps in the day.
