9000 steps the hard way. Bushwhacking. My Actifit Report Card: July 30 2025
Sometimes it is easy to get my steps in a day. Hop on a treadmill at the gym and those steps come quickly and easily.
Today? Not so much. I started the day weeding to get rid of dogbane. Tomorrow I'll keep doing more weeding but it got really hot today so I only did an hour or so of weeding. 
Also set up Gazebo today. My wife wanted it set up so I set it up. However it was a slow go because in 35C heat I needed to take more rest breaks.
When it got cooler in the evening my wife and I walked around the properly to clear a path around it. We did that a year ago but everything seems to grow quickly around here.
Some places were easy.
We just walked along the old road and cut down tiny little saplings or cleared branches that were getting in the way.
However there is one part of the property where the has never been a road. We used an easement to get a road started but it doesn't connect with the interior road. Very annoying.

Haha. I wish I had a road. I slipped and hit post before I was done writing. My wife and I are out there with pruners and machete to cut a path so we can walk around the property but also so we can show the road crew where we need the road. Right now all I could do is point and say "I want it to go that way"

That sounds like a tough job. I've been following a YouTube shorts recently where a person bought a house in the middle of nowhere. Then, they also had to make their own road to have a way for water connection. Good luck with the rest of the job! Take care, too! ^^ Have a good one! :D
