A nice hotel room that I found annoying. My Actifit Report Card: October 28 2025

I did get my steps today from walking the dog and walking around town but today I'll mostly talk about things that annoyed me in the hotel room. Mostly because I have nothing better to talk about.

Overall the room is spacious. It has a living and kitchen area. It had a nice bedroom area. Even the washroom isn't too bad.

Nice and clean throughout.

But here is the first thing that annoyed me.

Every lightbulb in the place is a 60W incandescent. They are dim bulbs and I need to turn them all in so the place isn't too dark.

That is fifteen bulbs at 60w per bulb weigh is a crazy amount of energy. I kept wishing that they were 100W equivalent led bulbs (6w actual usage). The place would be much brighter and use about the power of only two old style lightbulbs.

The next issue were these...

Old style toilet which is highly inefficient with water and old style shower which uses a huge amount of water

It made me shudder to think his inefficient this small hotel room was. Sure I'm not paying the electric or water bill but it still made me sad that I was so wasteful
