Setting the baseline. My Actifit Report Card: January 15 2026

Today I did very little. I stayed in my hotel room for most of the day. I made a Hive article. I tried hard to make a nutritious breakfast and lunch which was high in protein. I also went for a walk around the Manila area taking pictures for my next article about how to choose a hotel room near the airport.

While I was out walking I did stop and pause for this cat. Seems he found a great lookout point from which to see the world.

I also made sure to read my Bible in the morning and spend some time praying. Both things I really want to do but when I get busy and / or stressed I seem to forget doing it.

Mostly though today was kind of setting the baseline for where I am at now so I can watch and see if I improve over my trip.

And it wasn't pretty.

I did my stretch routine three times at ten minutes per time.

I did my balance exercises morning, noon and evening. I'm hoping my balance gets better when I lose weight.

I looked at the pool but refrained from going in as I have no way to dry off my swim trunks before I go on my next flight and I really don't want wet clothing in my baggage.

Finally I took my measurements and it showed me what I already knew. I really need to lose weight.

102cm waist.
114cm chest
102kg weight
And 178cm tall.

I may not be able to get any taller in the next year but I certainly hope I can lose the weight and some size off my stomach and chest.

I also did a few situps (10)
I tried regular push ups but had to do modified ones instead (10)
I also did some lunges (10/side)

It is nowhere near a full daily workout BUT as the place I'm in doesn't have a gym and its pretty cramped in the room...

.... It gave me a starting point to see where I can go from here.

And that's my report for today. Let's see if I can make my body better in the year to come.
