A day for laundry. My Actifit Report Card: February 26 2026

As for as getting exercise goes today was arm day. Now unlike most serious bloggers I don't have a tripod, Bluetooth or other remote activated way to take a picture. So I can't hold a dumbbell and take a picture at the same time. However up above was me before doing a chest press.

Am I in proper gym attire? Not really but today was laundry day and in the morning I went on a walk to the laundry to get them to wash, dry and fold my laundry.

Laundry is done by weight which is why there is a scale in front. There are two choices: 2 day service which costs less or express service which is bring it in the morning and done by 4:30pm. I opted for that because I have limited time and limited clothing so I kind of wait until I'm low then get everything done at once.

That includes my gym attire. So without proper gym wear I made due with what I had.

My routine?

Do one set then 10 minutes on the treadmill. Do another set then 10 minutes on the treadmill. Do my third set and 10 minutes on the treadmill. Then go heavy and do (hopefully) 3 reps and call it done for arm day.

In addition stretches and balance exercises morning and noon (yeah, I skipped evening because I was chatting with my wife).

What did I watch while on the treadmill?

Hotel staff cleaning the artificial turf. It looks like a hard job. Water hose, Shop Vac, and manual labor to loosen the dirt that gets embedded in the turf.

Of course I had to pick up my laundry in the afternoon.

It is on a little side road without sidewalks so I'm extra cautious about not getting hit by traffic which comes really really close sometimes.

Took laundry back to the hotel room and then went out another time. It was getting late by that time so I got to see a nice sunset.

I saw the sunset as I headed back out to go get something for dinner. I went back to a nearby hotel as they had inexpensive and tasty food. The guard and the front desk staff both recognized me which was nice... But the restaurant was closed :( That was very sad.

However, it forced me to go to option #2. Head to the Indomaret and grab some cheap fried chicken with rice.

Now I will admit that on the way I did see another restaurant that caught my eye. Yes it had chicken but mostly I was looking at the gecko's playing on the sign. Just a fun little moment on the streets of Surabaya.

I walked a little further and got excited. I saw a drive through sign for a chicken and burger place. Hooray. Well, not really.

Yes, I saw the drive through sign. Yes, I saw the sign atop the business.

The fact that I had never noticed a drive through there before or a burger place there before should have been my first clue. The fact that the place had a bunch of construction workers in front of it should have been my second clue. The fact was is that I'm probably a month or two early. There should be a restaurant there if I return to Surabaya someday but right now it is just someone's dream :)

Anyways, I got my food. Walked back during their rush hour traffic, very glad I wasn't trying to drive.

Ate in my hotel room then went down to the gym to do some actual cardio. I ran into a problem though. The gym should be open until 8pm according to the sign but it was 715 and the lights were off. Plus I couldn't find light switches anywhere in the room.

So I wanted to exercise one last time in the day... But it just wasn't going to happen. Back to the hotel room, watch some anime, chat with my wife then it was off to bed.

Yeah I know. Kind of boring...

But I still got 9k steps :)

And that's it until tomorrow ...
