Moving to the JW Marriot hotel Surabaya. My Actifit Report Card: Feb 28, 2026

How did I get my steps today?

Well, I started off in the Four Points hotel in Surabaya and they had quite the excellent breakfast spread. If you are curious you can check out the post on @cinderclaw.gld

Now these two hotels are only 500m apart. What did I do to save some money and get some steps?

Well, I have a late checkout in one hotel so I took some of my stuff to the new hotel, checked in, dropped off half my stuff.

Walked back to the original hotel, got the rest of my stuff and then checked out. Followed by another short walk to the new hotel.

Probably cheaper just to do that than wait for the taxi, sit in traffic, and have to pay.

As for the new hotel?

Nice pool. Fully equipped gym. Executive lounge which serves drinks all day and food a few times a day. Nice perk for sure.

I've posted pictures of the gym here before but I got some more steps while using the treadmill and I got my leg workout by using machines. Horray! For legs I far prefer the machines to squats and lunges. Yuck :(

So, kind of a boring post but that was my day today for just over 8K steps :)
