The hunt for Uefa Euro trophy continues for England as they lost to Italy in the 2020 Uefa Europe cup final
At this stage we have to call it a wrap for both the Uefa Europe competition and that of the Copa America. The good thing about this competition is that it started peacefully and ended peacefully. This is what I really want to hear. When it comes to soccer we are all united by same blood but truth be told in all competitions there must be one winner. There is no way you can have two captain in a boat. Same thing applies to soccer or football, there is no way two person will win the trophy. The essence of any competition is to see that at the end of the competition you have just a single winner. Just imagine when being asked about the winner of this year Copa America or Uefa Euro trophy and you said is Brazil and Argentina or England and Italy. It doesn't makes any sense at all.

Despite not being an Africa nations cup competition I had to say that I was fully committed to this competition. The team that attracted me to this competition is the English team. They look very different in this competition when being compared to their last competition. All till this stage I still got confuse as at why a team with good squad almost all the time are struggling to win this trophy. I remembered back then how they have the likes of Wayne Rooney, Steven Gerrard, Paul Scholes, Frank Lampard, Jeo Hart, Rio Ferdinand and host of other notable players but still yet they are still struggling to win this competition. It is really a pity and a shame if I am to say.
Almost all the time this trophy is being hosted England always have one of the best team and are always tagged favourite to wins it but sad to have it, it doesn't goes as always expected by the fans, host, manager, management etc.
Just yesterday we called it a wrap when it comes to the Uefa Euro trophy hunt. First of all I must use this medium to congratulate the Italian team and the English team for coming this far, we all knows it is not easy at all. For you to get to this stage you need to defeat different team that comes your way and we all knows that it is not always easy to get that done. At first there is nothing like trophies favourite as all team are tagged favourite when the race for the trophy starts. But as the competition progresses, their performance will begin to shows the team that is favourite or not. This is exactly how things operates.
The Uefa Euro trophy started with no host and this makes it unique. Seeing different team perform gives me the goose bump that England and Italy team will do well. When France, a team that was tagged by a lot of person as favourite crashes out people begin to shift to other favourite. I had to choose England because I see that they are really dedicated in this competition.
I picked Italy, England and France for the trophy but my heart is for England because I want them to win the competition for the first time. This is just too long over due as I can't keep waiting for them to win this competition. The outstanding performance from the like of Sterling, Kane and other notable players is top notch, I enjoyed all their matches. I was really happy when I saw that they got to the final of the competition as this really gladdens my heart. I was hoping for this title to be theirs because of the commitment and dedication they have shown so far in this competition.
When I saw that England and Italy will be paying each other in the final stage of this competition I was really scared for the English team because I knows that the competition is not new to the Italian side again. As we have it, the final came and it ended up in penalty shoot out after both side settled for a 1vs 1 draw through out 90mins. Immediately I saw that it is time for penalty kick I became worried for England because I know is not going to be easy for them. As we have it England lost to Italy in the penalty kick and it was really a painful one for me because I really want them to be crowned champions since is their first time getting to the final.
Well, that is how it ended with Italy being crowned Uefa Euro 2020 champions. This will makes it three (3) times for them since they have lifted the trophy. It is really painful that it didn't go England way but that doesn't mean, the English side has to keep trying and someday they will lift the trophy. I was expecting more goals in both finals but at least the Euro final was decided in the penalties, which is something I always enjoyed. I enjoyed the tournaments but I did expect everything to be better. Hopefully the next World Cup can be more exciting.
