UCL update: New coach, new momentum, Manchester United defeated Villarreal in Spain
Before the match started yesterday I know how I was saying that the match will be heading Villarreal's way. This is simply because of what I was seeing holding to so many reason. At first I was still using the old mentality to judge the team thinking that they will will carry the old mentality into this fixture, I am happy it didn't happen like that. Although this should not judge the team and give fans the goosebumps that they are definitely going to get back to winning ways as from this match.
If you are not familiar with what I am saying, permit me to educate you further. Yesterday Villarreal takes on Manchester United in the Uefa champions league and as usual I hinted that any one that got the win will eventually be topping the group F log table pending when the last leg encounter match will be played. The both side were seating on same point before the match that was played yesterday.
It was a happy one for the Manchester United team and fans yesterday as their head coach Ole was sacked before the match y yesterday. We all knows how he passed through numerous poor form. They gave him the chance to pick up from his poor form but he was unable to do that as he keeps lossing and loosing matches. The Manchester United board have no choice other than to seat down and deliberate on what is needed to be done. The only thing that was agreed on was to get him sacked. Many fans were happy that they did not deliberate much about it before they got him sacked.
I have seen coaches getting sacked and immediately that happened you will see that the team will start winning matches. But how long will that be is the big deal. When it comes to team poor performance it lingers on so many reasons. The players might not love him so they will start performing poorly. Once players don't love coach that is the end of that coach. It will be hard for such coach to get it right any time any day. That is still the issue we have here. I think the issue came in ever since Cristiano Ronaldo came on board. But I am not a Manchester United fan and might not knows better.
Deviating from that and focusing on what happened yesterday. If you have been watching how Manchester United plays you will discovered that when it comes to the Uefa champions league they have been lucky with result. Their performance has been poor but still yet they have been getting the result they need. This remind me of how it went back then when Chelsea fc wins the Uefa champions league, their performance was poor but despite that, they end up winning the Uefa champions league, will this happened for Manchester United too?
The match started for both side and it was played at the home soil of the Villarreal team. It was the Villarreal team that were dominating the match and their performance was far better than that of the Manchester United team. I was just brazing to see how the match will go. The only issue is that the Villarreal team were just missing chances upon chances and this doesn't goes well with me. I was not happy seeing them missing chances which they ought to have converted.
The match went on and on not until in the 78th minute that Manchester United got the first goal through Cristiano Ronaldo. You need to see the jubilation and celebration. The goal really meant a lot for the Manchester United team and I must admit that I was really happy for them. That goal gave the Manchester United team three (3) point above Villarreal and also will be able to send them into the round of 16. While deliberating on this, the other goal came in for Manchester United through Jadon Sancho in the 90th minute through Bruno Fernandes assist. This is what ends the match for the Manchester United side as the Carrick lead team walks away with three point from Spain as they defeated Villarreal 2nil.
