Uefa champions league update: Manchester United lost to Atletico Madrid at their home soil, Old Trafford: A recap

I am so happy that today will wrap up the last matches that will end the Uefa champions league round of 16 matches, Immediately all round of 16 matches comes to and end, the next thing to watch out for will be the quarter final. The fixtures will be rolled out so soon. Talking about the quarter final draws, I think it will be carried out very soon. Immediately the Uefa champions league quarter final fixture is carried out all, all the them that makes up to that round will be able to know their fate as per who they will be fighting/paying against.

Currently we have teams like Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester city, Benfica fc and Liverpool fc as teams that have qualified fully for the quarter final stage of the Uefa champions league competition. We will be waiting for Juventus Turin or Villarreal and Lille or Chelsea fc. Any team among the four team that I mentioned their names above who wins their match and qualified to the next round of the competition will be joing up the teams I mentioned their names earlier.

If they ends up winning the match it shows that the players are so dedicated as they have one interest at their mind, this is simply just to win matches as it comes their way.

We all knows Manchester United to be one team with almost everything but they are currently suffering. Sometimes I keep wondering what the players are thinking about. Maguire has turned into a player that keeps playing against his team Manchester United than it opponent. Whenever I look at the team I am always ashamed and afraid of their performance. This is simply because anytime you watch them perform, it is either they secure draw or they lost. They are one team that are not just confident, they lost it long ago was when Alex Ferguson retired as their head coach.

Just take a look at their squad, they have good, better and one of the best player in the world but still yet they are struggling achieving result. This is always happening when ever they have encounters to take on despite the encounter being small or big team, you will never be happy with the result. I was expecting them to win the match between them and Atletico Madrid yesterday since the match was played at Old Trafford after they managed to secure draw with Atletico Madrid at the home soil of the Atletico Madrid team which ended 1 Vs 1. While thinking it will go their way, it went the other way round and I must said that I am not impressed by what I have seen so far.

Manchester United lost against Atletico Madrid at their home soil and this goes into record and makes them the first English premier league team that failed to qualified for the quarter final stage of the Uefa champions league competition being 2021/2022 season, what a shame and pity I must admit. I am really angry this is happening, they are just a very poor side with awkward performance this year. Well, this is how it happened if you didn't watch the encounter between them and Atletico Madrid. Brace yourself for how it goes.

After Atletico Madrid got their first goal ruled out, they didn't stop pushing there, they keep on giving their best performance not until in the 41st minute that Renan Lodi scored through A. Griezmann goal. Well, this goal stand and this makes it 1 nil in favour of Atletico Madrid and 2-1 in total aggregate. I was thinking that Manchester United will retaliate after they conceded that goal but that didn't happened as this was what ended the match between the two side as the European journey for Manchester United at this year episode got terminated at Old Trafford.
