My best guess is either suicide of drug overdose at his age and with his strange behavior as of late. It's a shame that people would try to cheat at chess, but when there is big money to be won people greed will push them to win no matter what the cost. It's really a shame to see someone that young and talented die so young, but it's not uncommon in high stress and high stakes occupations.

Maybe, I don't know, let's wait and see if some more info come out on what really happened.
It's always possible there was some foul play as well, you never know!
