Entertainment is absolutely necessary to escape the day to day world which is full of stress. The athletes and actors make a fortune entertaining people, and people pay to watch. It's a tough gig to get into though, lots of competition to make it! There's a reason I didn't pursue an acting career...
I'm glad you had some time to relax for a couple of hours anyway, you need to have that to maintain your sanity at times!

Yeah, most of these entertainers get paid a lot of money, and that's because people will always pay to see them. I don't fault them, entertainment businesses will always thrive.
You actually wanted to purse an acting career? Wow, well that would have been something if it turned out very well. I have always wanted to pursue film making, as I had a passion for screen play and all that, but I never made it.
