Tunnelblick // Tunnel vision

In case you can't quite make it out: here is my toddler sitting in his tunnel reading a book with a torch in his hand. Dad has thrown a blanket over the openings at the front and back so that it is really dark in the tunnel or rather the cave. The toddler said, "Let's build a cave". What times were those when you could dream yourself away and just read a book in the cave, I thought to myself. I like the picture very much, because for me it is childhood in a picture and also radiates peace, happiness and security. Can you understand that?

Falls nicht ganz genau zu erkennen: hier sitzt mein Kleinkind in seinem Tunnel und liest mit einer Taschenlampe in der Hand ein Buch. An den Öffnungen vorne und hinten hat Papa jeweils eine Decke drübergeworfen, damit es auch richtig dunkel im Tunnel oder viel mehr der Höhle ist. Das Kleinkind sagte nämlich "Lass uns eine Höhle bauen". Was waren das noch für Zeiten, als man sich so wegträumen konnte und einfach in der Höhle ein Buch gelesen hat, dachte ich mir. Das Bild mag ich sehr, denn für mich ist das Kindheit in einem Bild und strahlt zusätzlich Ruhe, Glück & Geborgenheit aus. Könnt ihr das nachvollziehen?
