1,8 Millionen, das ist seht günstig, allerdings für 5 Jahre, das ist wiederum sehr lange, im letzten Vertragsjahr ist er dann 39, ob er seine Leistung so lange noch halten kann ist die Frage, man wird sehen.
Allerdings wäre es auch kein großes Problem in den letzten ein, zwei Jahren ein buyout zu machen, falls es nicht mehr passt.

Das bringt uns zur Nr.3 Nico Daws 24.

Es würde mich nicht wundern wenn er heuer Teil eines Handels wird.

Wie sieht es dahinter aus bei den Torhütern?
Neu hinzu kommt der 23 jährige Tscheche Jakup Malek, ein 4. Runden Draft Pick 2021.
Malek spielte die letzten 3 Saisonen in Finnland bei Ilves Tampere und zeigte dort jedes Jahr eine Weiterentwicklung, er hat sich die Chance in der AHL auf alle Fälle verdient und wird sich das Tor bei Utica wohl mit Daws teilen.
Auch er ist am Ende dieser Saison dann ein RFA, wie es dann weitergeht mit ihm liegt wohl daran was er heuer zeigen wird, ich traue mich da keine Prognose abzugeben, von Totalausfall bis positiver Überraschung halte ich alles für möglich.

Wen gibt es dann noch im System?
Zb. den bereits 28 jährigen Sohn von Torhüterlegende Martin Brodeur, Jeremy, der die letzten beiden Jahren der Stammtorhüter der ECHL Mannschaft der Devils war und auch das eine oder andere AHL Spiel absolvierte.
Derzeit hat er noch keinen Vertrag unterschrieben und selbst wenn wird er wohl bei seiner bisherigen Position bleiben, eine NHL Chance sehe ich da nicht mehr, es sein denn es verletzen sich 3 Torhüter vor ihm.

Dann gibt es da noch den 22 jährigen Tyler Brennan, 4. Runden Draft Pick 2022.
Er spielte bisher mit Brodeur in der ECHL und da gab es noch keine Anzeichen dass er einmal Richtung NHL gehen könnte, obwohl es bei den Torhütern in jungen Jahren immer schwer zu beurteilen ist.
Auch er wird am Ende der Saison ein RFA, meine Einschätzung ist, das war es dann für ihn bei den Devils.

Das waren jetzt die 6 Goalis im System, aber einen interessanten gibt es vielleicht noch.
Den 2. Runden Draft Pick von 2024 Mikhail Yegorov 19 aus Russland.
Er spielte letzes Jahr seine erste halbe Saison an der Boston Universtiy, nachdem er zu Saisonmitte von den Omaha Lancer aus der USHL gekommen war.
Und die Berichte aus Boston waren sehr positv, er erspielte sich dort sofort die 1er Position, alle Trainer und Scouts waren voll des Lobes und bescheinigen ihm für die Zukunft ein mögliches NHL Starter Potential.
Wie gesagt, bei den Torhütern in jungen Jahren muss man immer vorsichtig sein, aber es wäre schön wenn da wirklich wieder einmal ein Torhüterjuwel heranreifen würde für die Devils.

2 gedraftete gibt es dann noch, beide ebenfalls 19 Jahre alt, den Finnen Veeti Louhivaara, Draft 24 und Trenten Bennett, Draft 25, da kann man aber noch überhaupt nicht sagen.
