Das Ganze gärt ja eigentlich schon länger.
Im Prinzip ist das Hauptproblem, dass Fitzgerald ständig teure Verträge mit NMC´s verteilt wie Zuckerl an Halloween und das fällt ihnen jetzt brutal auf den Kopf weil überhaupt keine Flexibilität mehr da ist.

Palat und Hamilton haben beide abgelehnt ihre NMC aufzuheben, was aus meiner Sicht auch ihr gutes Recht ist, wofür hat der Agent sie sonst ausgehandelt, bei Palat habe ich anderes Aussagen auch schon gehört, dass es scheinbar nicht einmal einen interessenten gab, würde mich auch nicht wunder..

Die extreme Verletzungsserie von der für mich der schlimmste Ausfall Pesce war (da hat die ganze Misere angefangen), hat natürlich auch nicht geholfen, dazu kommt dass ein L.Hughes seit seiner Unterschrift zu seinem Vertrag heuer einen deutlichen Schritt zurück gemacht hat, Hamilton scheint mir überhaupt nicht mehr motiviert und Palat kann einfach nicht mehr, der ist leer.

Bei Hischier passt heuer auch irgendetwas nicht, keine Ahnung was und dann kommt noch ein schweres Torhüterproblem mit Markström dazu, der trotz schwacher Leistungen einen massiven neuen 2jahres Vertrag bekommen hat, das verstehen wohl auch viele nicht.

Insgesamt gibt es hier also eine Menge Baustellen die kurzfristig sehr schwer zu beheben sind, da hat man sich ein ordentliches Loch gegraben. Insgesamt finde ich aber auch nicht dass die Moral der ganzen Mannschaft schlecht ist, aber es reicht ja schon wenn ein paar nicht mehr richtig mitziehen.
Ich habe diesen Absturz ja befürchtet, aber so extrem ist schon brutal.

Das zeitweise benchen und in die 4. Linie versetzen von Palat und das scratchen von Hamilton erscheinen mir jetzt wie ein letzter verzweifelter Versuch die komplett verfahrene Situation aufzubrechen.

PS.: Palat spielte gegen Minnesota eh schon wieder in der 2. warum auch immer und Hamiton ist auch wieder im lineup weil Nemec scheinbar noch nicht ganz fit ist, war also eh wieder nur ein Sturm im Wasserglas. 🙄

All in all, there are a lot of issues here that are very difficult to resolve in the short term; they've dug themselves into quite a hole. Overall, I don't think the morale of the whole team is bad, but it only takes a few players not pulling their weight for things to go wrong.
I was afraid this crash would happen, but it's brutal how extreme it is.

Benching Palat at times and moving him to the fourth line, as well as scratching Hamilton, now seem to me like a last-ditch attempt to break out of this completely messed-up situation.

PS: Palat played against Minnesota in the second line again anyway, for whatever reason, and Hamilton is back in the lineup because Nemec is apparently not quite fit yet, so it was just a storm in a teacup again. 🙄
