The international friendly match between Senegal and England kicked off in the evening while I was still finishing up my work, and I couldn't get the chance to watch it, but I was following the score on social media, X (formerly Twitter). At 7 minutes, Kane scored, and I wasn’t moved because I was expecting England to win or at least draw, since no African country had ever beaten England.
But things took a U-turn when Senegal equalised through Sarr’s goal before the first half ended.
The game eventually ended 1:3 in favour of Senegal, and the media has been hot with a lot of talk from different angles.
First of all, banter has been released towards Carragher, who once publicly rated AFCON poorly, saying it's not a major tournament. Now, the people he rated down have beaten his best team. Lol.
Also, Senegal just broke the record of no African country ever beating England.
I don’t know how Tuchel, the England national coach, will be feeling right now because he just newly got employed as the national coach, and look at the disaster that just happened under his nose. Omo!
