We continue without knowing official news of the new and supposed Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Never before has it taken so long to present an installment of the saga and with the situation in the United States, surely we have to wait even a few days. Meanwhile, the community continues to receive the information with droppers and through leaks and rumors. In this case, it has been Maux, a competitive player from the Florida Mutineers, a team of the Call of Duty: League, who has revealed new information.

As Charlie Intel has collected, the player has commented on reddit that Treyarch has already contacted them and that they are really interested in creating a great competitive game next year (Black Ops Cold War).

They have been meetings with developers to discuss the competitive philosophy. I don't even know if I could share what I said. I know many of you are hopeless but all I want for us is a community that is really excited and supports the developers

The player added after being asked if this was the typical comments made by companies each year.

The competitive aspect of Modern Warfare has been one of the game's biggest problems. After the inclusion of franchises in the Call of Duty League, the rest of the global competition has been severely damaged, a situation that has been aggravated by the cancellation of face-to-face events due to COVID-19. Furthermore, the absence of an arena mode has been a clear sign that Infinity Ward has neglected the most competitive part of Modern Warfare.

It seems that Treyarch wants to act differently with Black Ops Cold War and even before presenting the title to the public he has already started having small meetings with the players in order to improve the competitive one. We will see if this stays in borage water or if the company really strives to bring the best competitive to the game.
