World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, the best online game by far

Thanks to the beta that has taken place, I have entered what will be the eighth expansion of this MMORPG, which seems to have some time left with the new stories, missions and news that are emerging. At the moment its arrival is scheduled for sometime this fall and from what I have been able to test so far it gives me the impression that the new content is the best thing that has happened to the game in recent years.

Sometimes speaking with friends who had never played World of Warcraft, they recognized that they were very lazy having to go up 120 levels to enjoy the content of Battle for Azeroth. It is seen that Blizzard has considered it to be an excessive amount and that is why it has decided to halve the maximum level that can be reached in Shadowlands.

Therefore, this same assumes that all the characters that have the current level 120 will become 50, because thanks to the new expansion we will have the option to go up to 60. This so substantial change causes that now it makes much more sense to go up level and above all no one is so uphill at certain times, in addition to the possibility of choosing the place to go in search of adventure will still be present because the enemy will climb according to ours.

However, one of the biggest news I have found in the new initial arc that will be present and, despite being optional, it will be fantastic for newcomers to World of Warcraft. Thanks to him, they will propose us to participate in a rescue mission in Confine of Exile, an island that will act as a tutorial. Instead of having to visit the already seen start areas for the umpteenth time, this place is undoubtedly a breath of very fresh air.

Throughout various missions we will learn the main skills of our character, how to control him or make the best of his abilities while we go up to approximately level 10. They are relatively easy missions and the most entertaining until culminating even in a dungeon that must be completed, but if you do not have other players to join do not worry because in that case the gaps are filled by characters controlled by artificial intelligence.

Those who play World of Warcraft for the first time will be required to go through this new tutorial with their first character. Instead, the others will see the option when creating a new one, in case they want to learn to control that specific class. What should be noted is that the system to create characters has become more complete than ever with more customization options, more skin tones, hairstyles, beards, etc., without forgetting the option to change gender when we want. However, the interface has also been modified and is now more empty, making it less attractive, so one of lime and one of sand.

In the World of Warcraft: Shadowlands introductory cinematic, we were able to observe Sylvanas traveling to the Icecrown Citadel, where the Lich King is located. His objective was none other than to defeat him, something he inexplicably accomplished without any problem and served to snatch his Helm of Domination and smash it to pieces. This fact caused a gap to open in the sky by breaking the barrier that separated the world of Azeroth from the Shadowlands.

This new kingdom in which the new expansion will take place in its entirety is a kind of beyond as it is a place that is known for separating the world of the living from that of the dead. So, in order to stop Sylvanas's feet and stop her evil plans, the players will have to help the misguided souls that inhabit the different areas of this new content, because Queen Alma in Pena has allied with The Jailer to seize all these souls in order to create a kingdom in which chaos rules and is populated by the most fearsome monsters and creatures.

Along the way we will meet new factions known as the Curias. Each one will have their own motivations and objectives and it will be essential to keep the proposals of each one of them, because once we reach level 60 we will have to swear allegiance to the one that convinces us the most, which in turn will cause this to make way for us. to exclusive missions, with their respective bases of operations and much more.

Precisely demonstrating our worth to the Kyrianos, Necroseñores, Silfides or Venthyr, the different leaders of the Curias, will also give us access to a series of unique rewards, abilities and improvements for our characters, in addition to having their help in the case of that was necessary. Therefore, it is a very important decision to take into account and that is why throughout the expansion we will learn more information about each of them.

As I said previously, it will not be necessary to opt for a particular Curia until you get deep enough into the expansion. When this happens, a new exclusive campaign will be launched in which it will be necessary to return to the previous areas of the Shadowlands to collect anima and complete another series of tasks. Thanks to all this, we will be able to visit the Tabernacle of our Curia, where we will meet important characters and some very interesting functions, although most of them are the same for all the bases.

Among all of them will be the Nexus of Souls. Here we will meet three exclusive characters from each curia who will be a kind of helper to whom we can improve their abilities and the skills with which they will give us a cable during the missions we carry out. Of course, we can only choose one of them, so we will also have to look carefully at what each one specializes in choosing the most useful in relation to our character, because these helpers have their own skill tree that will be linked to the our.

And if there is a place that will end up being the one we visit the most in order to face the endgame that will be Las Maw, the most dangerous and wild area of ​​the Shadowlands, especially because of The Jailer, the main villain of Shadowlands and the figure who rules this entire kingdom. Our presence will not go unnoticed by him at any time and it will absolutely make him happy that we save souls or destroy his subordinates, so the longer he is watching us, the more challenging our journey will become.

Among the different creatures that inhabit the Maw there will be common enemies and also a good handful of elites that will not make it easy for us. This means that when we eliminate someone, complete missions, open treasure chests or carry out another series of actions, the Jailer's eye will pay close attention to us and will not stop throwing punishments at you and groups of enemies that will have no qualms about finishing with our life. In total there will be five levels of threats, so you can get an idea of ​​how difficult it will be to survive when the maximum of them is reached.

In fact, being eliminated by The Jailer or one of his monsters with the highest level of threat will imply that our access to the Maw will be restricted until the next day, which is why it is so decisive to obtain improvements to be able to resist their attacks. Even so, there is still a lot of content ahead to discover and above all to reveal what this peculiar alliance between Sylvanas and The Jailer will entail, because this first advance has left me with a splendid taste in the mouth with what looks like it will be, at least At the moment,one of the best expansions in World of Warcraft.
