[ESP-ENG] Edición de escudos del Barcelona y Real Madrid - Mi Opinión
Siempre he sido de los que le interesan las cosas curiosas que están fuera del futbol, pero también un critico total en lo que a falta de respeto se refiere, cada quien es libre de expresar lo que desee y si un equipo tiene un branding construido desde hace años nadie debería venir a cambiarlo.
En este post quisiera dar mi opinión sobre una situación curiosamente extraña que esta sucediendo en la super copa de España disputada en arabia saudita, que si bien no es la primera vez que sucede no hay que dejar de mencionar.
I have always been someone who is interested in curious things outside of soccer, but I am also very critical when it comes to disrespect. Everyone is free to express what they want, and if a team has built up its brand over many years, no one should come along and change it.
In this post, I would like to give my opinion on a curiously strange situation that is happening in the Spanish Super Cup being played in Saudi Arabia. Although this is not the first time it has happened, it is worth mentioning.

FuenteHace ya varios años que la decisión de la federación española de futbol tomo un giro algo extraño en términos futbolísticos pero que cuando tienes en mente la parte económica se entiende perfectamente.
Hablo de que todos los partidos de la super copa de España se jueguen en Arabia Saudita, esto además de agregarle unas semifinales que nadie pidió pero que se disfrutan bastante, esto hace que esta competencia tenga 3 partidos y no 1 solo como estábamos acostumbrados. Además, que casi siempre por la forma de organizar los partidos parece que esta diseñado para tener un clásico de España en la final casi siempre.
Pero ese no es el tema principal del que quiero hablar, sino que además de que les complican a los aficionados más cercanos de los equipos que puedan viajar a ver los partidos también se deben adaptar a las reglas, cultura y religión del país anfitrión de los encuentros.
Todo esto lleva a que debido tiene regulaciones sobre símbolos no islámicos los equipos Barcelona y Real Madrid tuvieron que editar sus escudos para poder jugar el encuentro en ese país, ya que ambos tienen cruces en sus respectivos escudos y es justamente el signo que menos cae bien a los Islam.

All this means that, due to regulations on non-Islamic symbols, Barcelona and Real Madrid had to edit their crests in order to play the match in that country, as both have crosses on their respective crests, which is precisely the symbol that Islam dislikes the most.
Opino que realmente fue una decisión inteligente la de que se hagan esas ediciones, puesto que nadie puede entrar a la casa de nadie faltando el respeto del dueño, entonces simplemente no entres y ya.
Sin embargo, considero que se debe también respetar un poco mas a los diseñadores y creadores del branding de cada equipo, es algo que según mi experiencia en Publicidad es bastante grave, cada curva, tipografía y color del escudo esta especialmente diseñado con un significado y sentimiento el hecho de editarlo es quitarle esa esencia y restarle valor.
Mas aun la de estos 2 equipos que dichas cruces tienen un valor sentimental e histórico en ambas, por lo que en un torneo tan importante para el país no deberían de estar sin ellas.
Creo que la decisión de remover las cruces para la venta y comercialización en estados islámicos es obvia y muy inteligente y se debe mantener, pero de darse un torneo o algún partido donde se incluya a estos equipos debería ser uno menos nacional como una super copa española, algo como una copa tradicional, incluso algún mini torneo de estrellas o algo así.
I think it was a really smart decision to make those changes, since no one can enter someone else's house and disrespect the owner, so just don't go in.
However, I also think that the designers and creators of each team's branding should be respected a little more. In my experience in advertising, this is quite a serious matter. Every curve, font, and color of the crest is specially designed with a meaning and feeling behind it, and editing it takes away that essence and diminishes its value.
This is even more true for these two teams, as the crosses have sentimental and historical value for both of them, so in a tournament that is so important for the country, they should not be without them.
I believe that the decision to remove the crosses for sale and marketing in Islamic states is obvious and very intelligent and should be maintained, but if there is a tournament or match that includes these teams, it should be less national, such as a Spanish Super Cup, something like a traditional cup, or even a mini all-star tournament or something similar.

Es evidente que hay algo que no esta del todo bien con que el torneo se juegue en tierras árabes, pero el dinero siempre podrá mas que el sentido común como dirían por ahí, entiendo un poco el enojo de algunos fanáticos españoles que hablan de manera mas efusiva que yo sobre el tema pero que nadie quita que es un completo éxito financiero que se lleve a cabo en dicho país.
Debemos respetar para que nos respeten y en resumidas cuentas me parece que si hace falta que se jueguen algunos partidos en tierras árabes para entablar buenas relaciones deberían ser algunos partidos de liga interesantes o alguno que sea como exhibición extra con Estrellas de España Vs Estrellas de la saudí pro league por ejemplo. Pero no deberían quitarles a los propios españoles la dicha de vivir su Super Copa en su país.

It is clear that there is something not quite right about the tournament being played in Arab countries, but money always trumps common sense, as they say. I understand the anger of some Spanish fans who speak more passionately than I do on the subject, but no one can deny that it is a complete financial success for the country hosting it.
We must respect others in order to be respected, and in short, I think that if some matches need to be played in Arab countries to establish good relations, they should be interesting league matches or something like an extra exhibition match between the Stars of Spain and the Stars of the Saudi Pro League, for example. But they shouldn't take away the joy of the Spanish people to experience their Super Cup in their own country.
