After the World Cup break, the premier league is back again to deliver amazing match day fixtures. This Boxing Day fixtures usually comes with goals galore and this one didn’t disappoint either. After several games, the least goals coming from a single match in this match day was 2.

On Monday, we saw matches between Tottenham and Brentford. In this game Brentford put up a good performance in the first half and taking the lead by 2 goals to nil. Spurs looked very sloppy and came back in the second half very sharp, leading to them equalizing with goals from Kane and Hojbjerg making the game 2-2.

The next matches line up were; Crystal Palace vrs Fulham, Everton against Wolves, Leicester City against the in form Newcastle United and finally Brighton agains Southampton. Fulham kick started their campaign with a good 3 goals to nil and in the same match were Palace saw two red cards. Wolves were able to clutch a late winner in the 90+5 with a goal from Ait Nouri to make it 2-1 against Everton.

Newcastle continued their good run of form, after delivering yet another stellar performance and winning thief game by an easy 3-0 victory. Two beautiful goals from Chris Wood and the man in form, Miguel Almiron he as been very impressive this season and I think must be his best ever season so far in the Premier League. He has 9 goals and 1 assists already this season, a really good player for the Newcastle side. Brighton also had a good 3-1 win against Southampton and their keeper making a good penalty save from Ward-Prowse, the set piece specialist.

Liverpool were able to restart their Premier League campaign with a good performance against Aston Villa and winning 3-1 in their match, several chances missed by Nunez and goal and assist from Mohammed Salah, who seems to be back in his scoring ways. Andrew Robertson provided an assist in this match, which makes him the defender with most assists in the history of the Premier League.

Also, Arsenal keeping up with their good form and winning against West Ham United after trailing by 1 goal in the first half. Goals from Bukayo Saka and Martinelli helping the gunners to come back from behind, also a beautiful goal from Eddie Nketiah to cement their victory in the game and making sure the Gunners further increase their lead on the table. He might just be the man to fill in the shoes of thier star man Gabriel Jesus. The play maker and captain of this team, Martin Odegaard has been very essential in their current success and form, provided the payers with assist and good passes. The can’t afford to lose this guy to any injury and I think he should be protected very well.

On Tuesday, Chelsea were able to win their match with two goals to nil against a very poor Bournemouth side. Two beautiful goals from K.Havertz and M. Mount to help them with any hopes of playing European football next season. Also, Reece James was taken off prematurely and it seems to be another injury blow for the blues.

Now, Manchester United (the best team in the world) displayed a very good performance against Nottingham Forest and grab that 3 points with a three goal thriller match. A beautiful set piece corner to set up M. Rashford for the first goal and Rashford again setting up Martial to score the second goal. It has been amazing how Rashford has been able to rediscover his form over our recent games and he has been very sharp and consistent. Also, Fred came in the game in the second half and scored from a nice assisted from our man Casemiro, this guy has been very consistent in every game for Manchester United. Always putting on ‘Man of the match’ performances, has been very pivotal in our recent form.

The final match in this game-week is one between Manchester City and Leeds United, we all know it is going to be another match of goals coming in with Haaland probably aiming to score another hat trick (man, that man is making the Premier League look too easy). It’s going to be an exciting watch today.

Newcastle United should not be taken lightly, that club has been superb this season and I have a strong feeling they are going to be in the UCL next season.

I’m very confident they’ll play European football next season if they can continue with this performance.
