TWS Crew Topic: Practicing My Backside Boardslide On The Rail

avatar

Last Tuesday we didn't get able to skate because it rained that day so I just wanted to share with you the trick that I land it for a long time. In our previous session, I've been practicing my Backside Boardslide On Rail and something big happens to me I'm not expected to pull out my BS Boardslide on the rail again. For some reason, I really don't know why I'm so scared by doing my BS Boardslide on the rail because I can do that trick on the ledge and I think I'm being stupid by not doing my BS Boardslide on the rail. So I broke my fear and without hesitation, I tried to slide my BS Boardslide on the rail and I got it.

Not A Perfect BS Boardslide On The Rail

I counted how many failed before I got my Backside Boardslide on the rail and exactly 10 tries before I got it. On my first try, I couldn't able to balance my board at the top of the rail that's why my board slipped away and I fell to my board.

On my second try after I locked my board on the rail and the boardslide continuously but suddenly before I reached the end of the rail I jumped to my board just because the board stopped sliding. I fell to my board but the important thing is I still remember how to reject the board to avoid serious injury.

On my third try, I put a lot of pressure on my front foot that's why the board was tweaked on the right side so I fell to my board.

Something good happened on my fourth try just because I almost got my Backside Boardslide but accidentally I rolled out my board on a manual position that's why the board slipped on my foot. At that moment I felt I can do this because that's what I want if I can still put my board at the top of the rail and I can still slide it I know to myself I can still do it.

The fifth try is almost the same as my fourth try just because I slide my boardslide until the end of the rail but I couldn't roll out my board perfectly. But that it's fine because that is the sign something big happen on my next attempt.

A Perfect BS Boardslide On The Rail

Finally, after 10 tries and after age, I got my Backside Boardslide with a smooth rollout. Honestly, I'm not expecting that I can still pull out my BS Boardslide that day just because I'm never doing that for so many years. One I remembered I need more speed to slide the board smoothly and I need to look down on the rail until the end of rail. When the deck slid and I got my balance at the top of the rail I just continued to look down and when I reached the end of the rail I just tweak my board to roll out and I got the board rolled out smoothly. Danico and I were both so happy because after so many tries and failures I got it.

P.S: I've been playing skateboarding since 2005 and started filming and editing in 2011. On the TWS skate video, you'll find a random of tricks and behind skateboarding, we are not pro skaters we just skate for fun and I really love this.
