A man is lying on his deathbed, and next to him stands his wife. The man turns to her: "Marie, please, tell me... Have you ever been unfaithful to me in your life?“ The wife says: "Okay, I’ll admit it. I have. Three times." The man becomes concerned: "Three times?! And will you tell me when?" The wife: "The first time was when that banker didn’t want to give us a loan. I just had to. We needed the money..." The man smiles understandingly. "And the second time?“ The wife continues: "The second time was when that doctor didn’t want to perform the surgery on you. I had to. I did it for your life..." The man replies: "I don’t blame you. And the third time?“ The wife takes a deep breath: "Do you remember when you were founding the party... and you were missing 50 signatures?"

Muž leží na smrtelné posteli a vedle něj stojí jeho žena. Muž se na ni obrátí: „Marie, prosím, řekni mi… Byla jsi mi někdy v životě nevěrná?“ Žena povídá: „Dobře, přiznám se. Byla. Třikrát.“ Muž se znepokojí: „Třikrát?! A prozradíš mi kdy?“ Žena: „Poprvé to bylo, když nám ten bankéř tenkrát nechtěl dát půjčku. Prostě jsem musela. Potřebovali jsme peníze…“ Muž se chápavě usměje. „A podruhé?“ Žena pokračuje: „Podruhé to bylo, když ti ten doktor nechtěl provést tu operaci. Musela jsem. Udělala jsem to pro tvůj život…“ Muž odpoví: „Nemám ti to za zlé. A potřetí?“ Žena se zhluboka nadechne: „Pamatuješ, když jsi tenkrát zakládal stranu… A chybělo ti 50 podpisů? !
