A Sports Day Out with my goons

Hello there, I'm excited to participate in this challenge hosted by @sportsandcoffee. I do have quite a number of sporting memories and I'll be sharing them in batches as well. Sports, exercises and games has been a part of my life and I think it's kind of hereditary being that my mother was a sprinter. So, I've always loved sports especially football, racing, high jumps and other track and field events. I title this post, a SPORTS day out and it's so because I did quite a number of sports activities this fateful Saturday morning.

Every Saturday mornings in particular, I do go out for jogging but this was a different one because a lot of friends tagged alone and it was fun all the way. We jogged a very long distance; some persons including myself got really tired but we pressed till the finish line. I remember one of our friends who couldn't keep up any longer so, she decided to board a taxi and reach our proposed finish line...lol

After concluding the jogging phase, we rested a little while and then went for cycling with bicycles. Sadly, I couldn't ride the bicycle perfectly well so, I fell down a couple of times. Because of this, I decided to leave them to do the cycling while I watched them ride.

Also, I purposed to venture into learning how to ride the bicycle and I'm getting better at it. Cycling is equally a great and healthy sporting activities though it could be very tiring. However, we are encouraged to practice it. We equally did a little race, not sure it was up to 100 metres since there were no markings. Being a good racer, I won in this category.

Other exercises like press ups, squatting, stretching etc we did before deciding to play football and call it a day. One of us stood up as a trainer and directed us to do many warm up exercises which we carried out. After this, we went to play football in two teams of five persons.

While playing, we saw other persons coming around and it shows the power of Sports. We give them room to play and it was all fun. Sadly, no side scored a goal so, we ended the game a tie. And we only ended it because a good number were so tired including myself.

Reaching back home, I couldn't lift my legs because I was so worn-out and famished. After managing to take my bath, I laid down flat on my bed and zoomed off in sleep. I didn't even remember to take some fruits but I did after waking up. It is a good time out with my friends and I cherish every moment of that day. I wish we could be doing that more often.

I look forward to sharing more of my sporting memories. I also want to encourage us who rarely do sports like @Uyobong to start it today😃. Sports is a great medicine, take it.

Until next time...

Sounds like you hanging out with your mates at the weekend. That is not really a sporting memory.

If it's not a memory then it's what? Anything that happened in the past is a memory last I checked.

What you have written is not really a sporting memory though if you are being honest. Surely you must have something better than this. I just see this as hanging with your mates and nothing else and this doesn't qualify. I have to be careful on what gets forwarded for curation and unfortunately this is not good enough in my opinion. Trying to be clever in your comment wont get you very far either.

What you have written is not really a sporting memory...

I'm still trying to understand how it is not. Maybe you are telling me cycling, jogging, football aren't classified as sports.

That took place in the past and for me, it is a memory.

You should just say this:

unfortunately this is not good enough in my opinion.

Instead of saying that it is not a sporting memory. Because, I wasn't singing or cooking in those photos.

Let us say it is just not good enough and leave it at that. I am fair with everyone and I wouldn't be fair putting this through.

I did sports when I was as young as you are. The effects still lingers. Big men do sports once in a while, Lol
