EURO 2020 tournament is just by the corner and the qualifiers stage is underway. This has caused major club leagues to be put on hold so players can retire to their respective countries. Portugal happened to lift the trophy in the EURO competition.

Scotland are out to set a small piece of history. What is the history? The last time Scotland featured in a major international tournament was in the 1998. That's a really long time and Steve Clarke is poised on changing that. According to the coach, his side have a "big chance" to make "a small piece of history" after their victory against Isreal.

Their game between Isreal ended in a goal less draw which resulted in a penalty shoot out. Scotland scored all five spot kick while Isreal lost one courtesy of Marshall. With this, Scotland is just one game away in making this history and that game is against Serbia on November 12.

Serbia would be a tough game for them because the Serbians are a strong side too. But before that, Clarke's team have Slovakia at home on Sunday in the Nations League before Czech Republic come to Hampden on Wednesday.

I hope things works out for them because I'd love to see Andy Robertson, the Liverpool left back in the tournament.

Africa is not also left behind in this international break as they are currently taking on some friendly matches. Tonight , October 9th, Algeria will be hosting Nigeria.

The Super Eagles have been in camp since Monday, October 5 to prepare for the game which will be the first friendly in this international break. According to PulseNG, the game which will be played at Wörthersee Stadion, Klagenfurt in Austria will kick off at exactly 7:30 pm Nigerian time.

It is going to be a tough game but I'm tipping my country Nigeria to win in the clash. Nigeria will be without Leicester's midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi while Algeria will have their talisman Riyad Mahreh in action.

What are your thoughts?
