Ecuador será el anfitrión ante el cuadro de Venezuela, el partido esta pautado para el día 11/11/2021 a las 5:00 pm hora de Venezuela. Ecuador en las actuales eliminatorias marcha en el tercer lugar de la tabla con 17 puntos, de los cuales en forma casi perfecta tiene 13 puntos conseguidos en su casa, 4 victorias, 1 empate y tan solo 1 derrota (1 – 2 ante Perú); lo que confiere a este conjunto un rival difícil de vencer en su patio.
✅66,66 % de efectividad en estas eliminatorias en casa para el conjunto ecuatoriano.
El conjunto meridional a lo largo de su historia ante la Vinotinto la ha dominado a placer, su historial así lo dice:

La última vez que Ecuador derroto a Venezuela fue precisamente en las eliminatorias con miras al mundial de Rusia 2018, en los últimos 4 encuentros (Copa América, Amistosos, y actual eliminatoria) Ecuador no ha conseguido derrotar a Venezuela, 1 derrota y 3 empate, entonces este partido es clave para reivindicar su historia ante su público, y punto de quiebre en las presentes eliminatorias que están en su recta final, dejar escapar los 3 puntos sería para “La Tri” un harakiri.
Ecuador seguirá con su estilo fiel, al ataque por las bandas y centros al área que, al ser un punto fuerte, también es un punto débil para los venezolanos, otro punto a favor para el combinado local es la presencia de la altura, donde el balón corre más, el juego dinámico de sus hombres se despliega mucho más veloz y en la parte física pasa factura a sus rivales. Venezuela en estas eliminatorias solo ha logrado 2 victorias y ambas de local (ante Chile y recientemente ante Ecuador) y los 6 partidos en los que ha jugado de visitante todos han culminado en derrota, al achicarse la eliminatoria solo un milagro en lo futbolístico y en lo matemático podrían salvar a La Vinotinto de una fatídica sepultura en sus aspiraciones a QATAR 2022, a pesar de que todavía existen esas posibilidades la realidad es otra; aludiendo a “la pelota es redonda” y “esto no está terminado hasta que está terminado”; Venezuela pudiera obtener sorpresivamente los 3 puntos en Quito, debido a que sus partidos contra los meridionales han sido muy parejos y se han decidido por errores minuciosos.
