[ESP/ENG] Comenzó la fiesta de los play off en la NBA

Culminó la fase regular de la Asociación Nacional de Baloncesto (NBA) y ya están los invitados a la fiesta que significa la disputa de partidos en la postemporada o lo que es lo mismo: Comenzaron los play off de la NBA.

Pocos eventos deportivos tienen tantos seguidores como este y pocos levantan tantas pasiones. Durante dos meses el universo deportivo de los Estados Unidos y el mundo se vuelve un balón de baloncesto y muchos niños juegan a ser los protagonistas de turno o compran las camisetas de Stephen Curry, Lebrón James, Luca Donci o Kevin Duran.

La Fase Regular

La etapa inicial de la NBA tuvo varios elementos que juicio de este autor merecen la pena significarlos por su importancia y por lo que dejarán en la historia de esta competición. Entre los más importantes se encuentran:

•Lebrón James se convirtió en el máximo anotador en la historia de la NBA.

•Varios jugadores consolidaron su importancia en la NBA y otros más jóvenes comenzaron a pujar por ocupar los lugares que deben ir dejando las estrellas.

•Solo dos equipos alcanzaron más de 55 victorias, de los 82 juegos que tiene cada conjunto y ambos estuvieron en la Conferencia Este (Milwaukee Bucks y Boston Celtic).

•La Conferencia Este mostró un mejor desempeño que la Liga Oeste y uno de sus equipos se perfila como el potencial ganador de la NBA.

•Los Golden State Warriors, actuales campeones de la NBA, mostraron un desempeño irregular que pone en peligro la defensa del anillo ganado en la temporada anterior.

Conferencia Este

Esta fue la mejor conferencia de las dos, en ella se concentraron los equipos que más victorias alcanzaron y los que por el desempeño mostrado parecen ser los que deben arrebatar el anillo al equipo de la Conferencia Este que resulte ganador de esa instancia.

Sin más dilación vayamos a los encuentros de play off sabiendo que se enfrentan 1ro vs 8vo; 2do vs 7mo; 3ro vs 6to y 4to vs 5to.

A partir de los resultados y de las ubicaciones estos fueron los pareos de los play off:

•Milwaukee Bucks (1°) vs. Miami Heat (8°) ...
•Boston Celtics (2°) vs. Atlanta Hawks (7°) ...
•Philadelphia 76ers (3°) vs. Brooklyn Nets (6°) ...
•Cleveland Cavaliers (4°) vs. New York Knicks (5°) ...

Sin pretender analizar los favoritos de estos play off lo cierto es que Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers y Cleveland Cavaliers parecen destinados a ganar sus duelos y avanzar hacia la discusión del título de la conferencia.

Conferencia Oeste

En esta conferencia se dio un escenario interesante, a partir de la inestabilidad de la mayoría de los equipos en la cual se vio involucrado el actual campeón de la NBA "Los Golden State Warriors"

En esta conferencia no se supo el estado final de los equipos ni los que iban a discutir el play off hasta la última jornada porque la mayoría de los equipos estaban en igualdad de condiciones o teñían opciones para avanzar hacia la próxima etapa. Incluso, Los Ángeles Clippers y los Warriors aseguraron los lugares 5 y 6 en el último juego regular de sus equipos.

Aquí los pareos quedaron de la siguiente manera:
•Denver Nuggets (1°) vs. New Orleans Pelicans (8°) ...
•Memphis Grizzlies (2°) vs. Los Angeles Lakers (7°) ...
•Sacramento Kings (3°) vs. Golden State Warriors (6°) ...
•Phoenix Suns (4°) vs. Los Angeles Clippers (5°) ...

Este autor, en esta conferencia no da como favorito a los que terminaron del 1 al 4 porque, según su criterio los Lakers deben derrotar a los Memphis y, a pesar de su inestabilidad los Warriors deben ganarle a los Kings. Ya veremos si esto se materializa.
Por el momento esto son mis vaticinios, en próximas publicaciones daré elementos relacionados con mis favoritos y el porqué de mis criterios.

Una canasta final

Esta competición constituye una de las cuatro más importante de todo el calendario competitivo de los Estados Unidos. Junto al Súper Bowl, la Serie Mundial, la final de la Liga Nacional de Hockey sobre Hielo constituye lo que más público arrastra en materia deportiva en el país de las barras y las estrellas.

A partir de este momento todo comienza de cero. Puede ser que veamos coronarse a un equipo que no haya estado entre los más destacados de la temporada regular o se ratifique la tesis de la temporada regular y gane uno de los tres equipos que mejor desempeño mostró en la fase regular.

Una pregunta se hacen todos los aficionados: ¿Quién ganará? Por el desempeño de la temporada deben ganar: Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics o Denver Nuggets. Puede que sea cierto porque entre estos equipos se encuentran el subcampeón de la temporada anterior (Celtic) y los ganadores del anillo de hace dos años (Bucks). De momento la mesa está servida y solo nos resta disfrutar de uno de los acontecimientos más importantes del deporte internacional.

Few sporting events have as many followers as this one and few raise so many passions. For two months the sports universe of the United States and the world becomes a basketball and many children play to be the protagonists of the game or buy the jerseys of Stephen Curry, Lebron James, Luca Donci or Kevin Duran.

The Regular Season

The initial stage of the NBA had several elements that, in this author's opinion, are worth mentioning because of their importance and because of what they will leave in the history of this competition. Among the most important are:

• Lebron James became the leading scorer in NBA history.

• Several players consolidated their importance in the NBA and other younger players began to bid for the places left by the stars.

• Only two teams reached more than 55 wins out of 82 games each, and both were in the Eastern Conference (Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtic).

• The Eastern Conference showed a better performance than the Western League and one of its teams is emerging as the potential winner of the NBA.

• The Golden State Warriors, reigning NBA champions, showed an irregular performance that jeopardizes the defense of the ring won in the previous season.

This was the better conference of the two, where the teams with the most victories were concentrated and which, based on their performance, seem to be the ones that should snatch the ring from the Eastern Conference team that wins the playoffs.

Without further ado, let's go to the playoffs, knowing that 1st vs. 8th; 2nd vs. 7th; 3rd vs. 6th and 4th vs. 5th will face each other.

Western Conference

In this conference there was an interesting scenario, due to the instability of most of the teams in which the current NBA champion "The Golden State Warriors" was involved.

In this conference it was not known the final status of the teams or those who were going to discuss the playoffs until the last day because most of the teams were on equal footing or had options to advance to the next stage. Even the Los Angeles Clippers and the Warriors secured the 5th and 6th spots in their teams' last regular game.

Here the pairings were as follows:

• Memphis Grizzlies (2nd) vs. Los Angeles Lakers (7th) ...

This author, in this conference, does not give as favorite those who finished from 1 to 4 because, according to his criteria the Lakers should beat the Memphis and, despite their instability the Warriors should beat the Kings. We'll see if this materializes.
For the moment these are my predictions, in future posts I will give elements related to my favorites and the reason for my criteria.

A final basket

This competition constitutes one of the four most important in the entire U.S. competitive calendar. Along with the Super Bowl and the World Series, the National Ice Hockey League final is the most popular sporting event in the country of the stars and stripes.

From this moment on, everything starts from scratch. We may see a team crowned that was not among the best in the regular season, or the thesis of the regular season may be ratified and one of the three teams that showed the best performance in the regular phase will win.

One question on every fan's mind is: Who will win? Based on the season's performance they should win: Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics or Denver Nuggets. That may be true because these teams include last season's runner-up (Celtics) and the ring winners from two years ago (Bucks). For the moment, the table is set and all that remains is for us to enjoy one of the most important events in international sports.
