[ESP/ENG] Girona en modo campeón de liga. Opinión

Quería que mi primera publicación del 2024 fuera en otro formato, pero, los niveles de apoyo no han llegado y debo transmitir mis ideas de la misma manera porque lo sucedido ayer en la Liga Española de Fútbol entre el Girona y el Atlético de Madrid no podía pasarse por alto y he decidido hacer esta publicación. No obstante, ratifico que, tal y como me han sugerido @fermionico, @palabras1, @theinfiltred y @nony utilizaré otros formatos de publicación, como forma de seguir creciendo en el ecosistema.

En esta publicación el autor dará sus consideraciones en torno al partido entre el Girona y el Atlético de Madrid que puede significar un paso importante en las aspiraciones del Girona de ganar la liga, o al menos, de estar en los primeros puestos de la clasificación y alcanzar la próxima Champions League.

Como siempre hago en mis análisis postpartido, no me centraré en el partido en sí, sino en los elementos esenciales que, en mi opinión, hicieron al Girona vencedor del encuentro.

Previa del partido

La previa de este partido estaba matizada por varios elementos importantes, pero, dentro de los más significativos estaba el hecho del excelente ritmo del Girona y la irregularidad del Atlético en la liga. Otro elemento importante de esta previa fue la victoria del Girona ante un equipo histórico del fútbol mundial, lo que les catapultó anímica y deportivamente y les hizo creer en la posibilidad de un milagro ganador.

El partido

Siempre he sido un crítico del Atlético de Madrid, al menos desde que el "Cholo Simeone" está allí. Y, soy admirador a muerte de ese entrenador por sus valores y por todo lo que dejó en su época de jugador, pero, a veces me ha hecho perder los nervios y he visto que su planteamiento táctico no ha sido el mejor, a pesar de la plantilla que ha tenido.

Sin embargo, en este partido el Atlético mereció ganar y, no sólo por las estadísticas de más tiros a puerta, más ocasiones de gol, más tiros entre los tres palos, sino porque supo remontar una y otra vez estando por detrás en el marcador, demostró la capacidad y jerarquía que tiene y, en un estadio tan complicado como Montilivi demostró su fuerza y empuje.

Hubo cosas que le fallaron: Su puntería de cara al gol, su efectividad defensiva, la capacidad para resolver situaciones complicadas de juego o su regularidad a lo largo del partido.
A pesar de lo anterior, debo decir que fue uno de los partidos en los que he visto la mejor versión del Atlético de Madrid.

Por momentos, mostraron la garra que les ha imbuido el Cholo y se olvidaron de las incomodidades que les hizo pasar la afición del estadio rival. Dominaron el partido, esa es la verdad, pero fueron incapaces de convertir en gol las ocasiones que generaron.

Un comentario final

Este era el último partido para ambos equipos en la primera vuelta y, los resultados hay que analizarlos de forma diferente ya que, mientras el Girona dio un paso firme hacia su objetivo liguero. Por su parte, el Atlético ha quedado herido de muerte y se ha colocado cuarto, lo que significa que lo más difícil para ellos no son los puntos que les separan de los líderes, sino el número de equipos a los que tienen que adelantar.

Por otro lado, el Girona ha visto que es posible ganar la liga porque ha ganado a dos de los que se han repartido las ligas en la última década (Barcelona y Atlético de Madrid) y sigue teniendo un fútbol muy ofensivo, con una capacidad de adaptación increíble y con una moral competitiva muy alta.

The match

There were some things that failed him: His aim in front of goal, his defensive effectiveness, the ability to solve complicated game situations or his regularity throughout the game.
Despite the above, I must say that it was one of the matches in which I have seen the best version of Atlético de Madrid.

At times, they showed the grit that Cholo has imbued in them and they forgot about the discomfort that the fans in the rival stadium made them go through. They dominated the match, that's the truth, but they were unable to convert the chances they generated into goals.

This was the last game for both teams in the first round and, the results have to be analyzed differently because, while Girona took a firm step towards their league goal. For their part, Atletico have been mortally wounded and have moved into fourth place which means that the most difficult thing for them is not the points separating them from the leaders but the number of teams they have to overtake.

On the other hand, Girona have seen that it is possible to win the league because they have beaten two of those who have shared the leagues in the last decade (Barcelona and Atletico Madrid) and they still have a very offensive soccer, with an incredible capacity to adapt and with a very high competitive morale.
